Dog Breed: Border Collie / Mixed (medium coat). Beets is a total cutie with a happy-go-lucky spirit and a heart full of sweetness. She might start off a little shy, but give her a few treats and some kind words, and she'll warm up faster than you can say “good girl!” She's smart and eager to please, already knows her commands like “down` and `shake,” and sits beautifully for treats. Beets is great with kids and easy to redirect if she gets a little too bouncy. She just can't help being excited around her favorite humans! This young, affectionate girl wants to be all over you (in the best way). She's truly a people pup who's loyal, loving, and happiest when she's snuggled up close or showering you with affection. If you're looking for a sweet, playful best friend who'll stick by your side through everything, Beets is ready for all the cuddles and tail wags you could ever want! Update on recent outing: Beets is a VERY energetic, silly girl! She did great loading into the car and was hilariously entertaining in the back seat with a tennis ball. She enjoyed a messy pup cup at Starbucks before heading to UC Davis. Then she ran three miles around the track. She was friendly, but a little jumpy when meeting adults. She wanted to chase squirrels, which means she has a strong prey drive so would need a slow introduction to cats. Beets was a fun companion! All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months). All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
