Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (medium coat). Cattle Dog mix, female puppy Dottie is a female cattle dog mix 4-month old puppy who was found in a crate on the side of the road in Modesto along with her three siblings. The pups are a little shy, but sweet and loving. Melt in your arms type puppies. Dottie’s got a cute little black dot on her head, hence the name and distinguishing feature from her sister, Frankie. She has a long, natural stumpy tail. She is a bit reserved but warms up quickly. Dottie crushed her first off leash pack hike - her confidence grew infinitely after that experience. Dottie is chipped and vaccinated and will go home on a spay contract. More photos and updates: .facebook/media/set/?set=a.1582442099384105&type=3 Interested in Dottie? Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
