She does require a fenced yard as she is just starting to learn about wearing a harness and walking on a leash. She is also just being introduced to recall. Charlie is a LOVER! Charlie is definitely what we call a “Velcro dog”! She likes to be where her foster mom is at all times. She loves cuddling and being held, it’s almost a guarantee she will fall asleep if you snuggle her up. She sits next to her foster mom all day as she works from home. Charlie really does not like to be alone, and she will let you know!! She’s a little bit of a princess! She plays as hard as she snuggles! She has a rambunctious side that loves to fetch and wrestle with other dogs. When it’s time to play on her own, she likes to chew on Benebones. Otherwise, she might start chewing on everything else She gets along well with all of her foster siblings, even the cats! She loves having an energetic friend to play with!! She’s does have some food aggression, so that’s just something to be aware of if she’s around other dogs. We’re working on our manners still! Charlie has been doing really well with potty training and going into a kennel when her foster parents have to leave the house. She has been sleeping all night in a kennel very well too, just as long as it’s next to her foster mom!! She just loves lounging!! My adoption fee helps cover all of my vetting needs such as HW test, rabies, DHPPL, Bordetella, spay, dental and microchipping.

Overview:

The French Bulldog, affectionately known as a "Frenchie," is a charming and compact companion breed originating from England, later popularized in France during the 19th century. Known for their distinctive "bat ears" and sturdy, muscular build, they possess a short, smooth coat that comes in various colors and patterns. Despite their somewhat serious expression, Frenchies boast an incredibly affectionate and playful temperament, making them excellent companions for individuals and families alike. Their relatively low exercise requirements and adaptability make them particularly well-suited for apartment living. However, prospective owners should be aware of their susceptibility to certain health considerations, including breathing difficulties due to their brachycephalic (short-nosed) structure, as well as spinal issues and skin allergies. With proper care and attention, a French Bulldog can bring years of joy and loving companionship.
