Description
Dog Breed: Siberian Husky (medium coat). Hi! Iâm Popcorn. Yeah, like the snack and honestly, the name fits. I tend to pop around when I get excited. Sometimes itâs a little hop, sometimes itâs a whole-body boing. I canât help it. Life just⦠fizzes. Iâm a friendly dog, I promise, but I need a little time to warm up when I meet someone new. Once I decide youâre safe and especially if you smile at me... I start inching closer. Then, before you know it, Iâm leaning against your leg like weâve been best friends forever. People are my favorite. Well⦠people and treats. And toys. And playing with humans who know how to toss, tug, or make silly noises that get me bouncing. Give me a crinkly toy, a squeaky ball, or even just your wiggly fingers, and Iâll show you my best popcorn pops. I might even throw in a tail-wag flourish .Iâm not the kind of dog who rushes into everything headfirst. I like to take my time, figure things out, and then jump in with all four paws preferably while holding a treat in my mouth. But once I trust you, Iâm all in: ready to play, cuddle, explore, and, of course, pop like popcorn whenever joy hits me. Wanna play?

Breed overview
Siberian Husky
A.K.A.: Husky, Arctic Husky, Chukcha, Chukchi, Chukchi Sled Dog, Sibe, Sibes, Sled Dog, Snow Dog
Overview:
The Siberian Husky is a striking and beloved breed, originating from Northeast Asia where they were bred by the Chukchi people for pulling sleds over long distances in harsh conditions. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their medium size, thick double coat (available in various colors and markings), and often captivating blue or bi-colored eyes. Their temperament is typically friendly, outgoing, and playful, making them generally good with children and other dogs. However, their independent and sometimes stubborn nature, coupled with a strong prey drive, means consistent training and secure containment are essential. While affectionate, their high energy levels and need for significant exercise make them less suitable for sedentary lifestyles or tiny apartments; a house with a securely fenced yard is often preferred. Health-wise, they are generally robust but can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia and eye problems such as cataracts and progressive retinal atrophy. Overall, a Siberian Husky thrives with active families committed to meeting their exercise and mental stimulation needs.
