Description

Dog Breed: Doberman Pinscher / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Spencer, the adorable dobie mix puppy. This guy is already pretty large for his age at 27lbs! He came into the Shelter as a stray so we don’ t know much about his life before now. Staff report that he has been soft and playful with people. He has interacted with dogs through a fenceline with a wiggly, loose greeting. Spencer is still very much a puppy and looking for an adopter that will commit to positive reinforcement based training to help him learn life skills and manners such as potty training and leash walking. With time, patience and a sense of humor – we anticipate that Spencer will bond with his adopter and grow up to be a great sidekick. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
