Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Little miss shorty, aka Nugget. Nugget is a 40lbs, 1 year old mix and absolutely the cutest. While she can react shy to new people, she soakes in all the attention she can get. It takes her maybe 5 seconds to get used to someone. After that she loves to cuddle, and she will get on your lap if you give her a chance. Nugget walks good on a leash and doesn't get distracted by much (she does hear a treat bag from a mile away though). We're still working on her other obedience. She is kennel trained and housebroken. Her favorite place is still her crate, and she walks in when she's had enough attention. She doesn't like to be outside long when the temperatures are higher, she is a certified AC princess and couch potato 1 year old, 40lbs Kennel trained Housebroken Good with dogs Good with kids Not really interested in rabbits or chickens, as long as they're behind a fence Fully vetted for a year Heartworm positive, treatment is starting and financially covered for who adopts her

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
