Description
Dog Breed: Schnauzer / Mixed. Meet Jack! Jack is a handsome, happy-go-lucky boy about a year and a half old. He’s neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and microchipped. At a solid 65 pounds, Jack is full of playful energy and enthusiasm for life. He loves to play and would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can run and burn off energy. Jack does well with other dogs and enjoys being around kids, but due to his size and bouncy nature, a home without small children would be best. Jack is friendly and affectionate, always excited to meet new people. He can be selective with men and may need extra time, patience, and gentle guidance to build trust. With continued training, structure, and positive experiences, he has great potential to grow in confidence. An active family or individual who enjoys walks, playtime, and engagement would be a great match for Jack. In return, he’ll offer loyalty, joy, and plenty of tail wags. Interested in adopting me? Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
