Winnie Harlow has style in every stride! Foster Home Feedback 12/28/25 Foster Feedback: Winnie, and her sister Iman, are active girls who love to run and play. They’ve come so far from the scared, skinny pups who came to my home a few weeks ago. Winnie and Iman definitely loves squeaky toys and to chew on their foster siblings’ Benebones. They love my dogs, who are big and too stompy to play with the pups right now. The girls haven’t experienced much time outside here - they spent all their time outside before coming to rescue. Winnie is affectionate and loves attention. She may like to have another dog in the home for a playmate but would also do well as the only dog, as long as she gets enough exercise - physical and/or mental. Winnie is ready to find a home of her very own and would love to meet you to see if she is a good fit for you and your family. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
