Description
Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Golden Retriever / Mixed. Meet Stevie! We believe she is a mix of Golden Retriever and Lab and around 1 year old. She came to us with her siblings who have all since been adopted and now it's Stevie's turn. Stevie didn't receive proper socialization when she was younger and she is still working on her manners and how to be calm when meeting new people. She would do best in a home without children under the age of 10 years old. Stevie is housetrained, has learned her basic commands, and walks well on leash. She is good with other dogs and sleeps in her crate at night. As a young dog, she does still have plenty of puppy energy and is looking for a more active adopter that will continue her training and channel that energy in positive ways. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting Stevie then fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website today! We recommend completing the questionnaire and connecting with an adoption coach before looking for a dog or puppy you'd like to adopt. If you're already approved to adopt or if you've adopted from Labs and More before, connect with your adoption coach for the next steps. Your interest in adopting a rescued dog or puppy from Labs and More Rescue is appreciated! Please find our adoption information at .labsandmore. Your adoption donation provides funding for Labs and More, a nonprofit organization which is supported solely by Volunteers and funded by donations. Good news is your adoption donation can be considered tax deductible. So much care is provided to your new dog prior to the adoption, including: spay and neuter, microchip, veterinarian visit(s), vaccinations, and other medical care as needed. Many of the dogs we rescue require extensive surgeries and care prior to adoption. Please understand we are unable to predict future behavior or medical needs of your adopted dog. We provide no guarantees regarding behavior, breed, or age of the dogs. Thank you for rescuing. Thank you for joining the Adoption Family with Labs and More Rescue. Breed overview
Overview:
The Golden Labrador, a delightful hybrid often referred to as a Goldador, is a popular cross between the Golden Retriever and the Labrador Retriever. Originating from designer breeding programs, these intelligent dogs inherit the best traits from both beloved parent breeds. Physically, they are medium to large-sized with a muscular build, typically sporting a dense, water-repellent coat in shades of gold, yellow, or cream. Their temperament is exceptionally friendly, loyal, and eager to please, making them outstanding family pets that get along well with children and other animals. While adaptable, their energy levels necessitate regular exercise, making a house with a yard preferable over strict apartment living. Though generally healthy, potential health considerations include hip and elbow dysplasia, common in both parent breeds, and certain eye conditions. Overall, the Golden Labrador offers a wonderful blend of intelligence, affection, and trainability, making them a fantastic companion for active families.
