Description
Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Husky / Mixed (medium coat). I’m honestly not sure in what universe this gorgeous boy is still waiting for his forever home. Buddy is now 4½ months old and he is everything you could want in a puppy — sweet, handsome, and incredibly loving. He has the softest eyes and the kind of personality that just melts you the minute you meet him. He may be a Shepherd or Husky mix… maybe even a little Great Pyrenees in there — who really knows? What we do know is that whatever the mix is, it created an absolute gem. Buddy is ready to love his person with his whole heart. He just needs someone to finally choose him. I am a Parvo survivor. Don’t let this special boy keep waiting. Apply at projecthopearf.

Breed overview
Overview:
The Gerberian Shepsky is a hybrid of the German Shepherd Dog and Siberian Husky, emerging in North America as a modern companion with working-dog roots. Typically medium to large, they feature an athletic build, erect ears, and a dense double coat, often with striking blue or heterochromatic eyes. Their temperament blends loyalty, intelligence, and independence, making them affectionate yet occasionally headstrong. With very high energy, they thrive on daily exercise and structured training, suiting active families more than apartment living without ample outdoor time. Early socialization supports good manners with children and other pets. Notable health considerations include potential hip dysplasia and eye issues; regular vet care, weight management, and coat grooming help maintain well-being. Their typical lifespan ranges around 10–13 years, rewarding committed owners with a loyal, adventurous companion.
