Description
Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Miniature Pinscher / Mixed (short coat). **This is a courtesy listing for Frosted Faces, Vintage Paws Animal Rescue** Hashbrown is the last puppy looking for a home from his litter of eight. The puppies were born to mama Waffles on August 22, 2025. Waffles was rescued already pregnant, along with 20 other dogs, from a severe hoarding case. Hashbrown is a male Chihuahua mix, weighing around five-pounds. He is super loving, energetic and playful; just like puppies should be! :-) Remember that while puppies are cute, they are also work! Please make sure you are ready for the commitment of adopting a young dog. Puppies become adult dogs and are meant to be loved for their whole life, not just until they grow up. Puppies will need lots of patience to help them learn their best doggy manners, leash-training, and house-training. Adoption fee is $400 and includes neuter surgery, vaccinations up to date including Rabies certificate, and microchip. Please email chitownrescuegmail for more information/meet and greet appointment.

Breed overview
Overview:
The Chipin, a lively cross between the Chihuahua and Miniature Pinscher, originated in the United States as a designer breed. These small yet sturdy dogs typically weigh between 5-10 pounds, boasting a short, smooth coat that comes in various colors like black, tan, chocolate, and fawn. Physically, they often inherit the Chihuahua’s apple-shaped head or the Miniature Pinscher’s sleek build, with expressive eyes and alert ears. Temperamentally, Chipins are known for being affectionate, energetic, and surprisingly courageous, often displaying a "big dog" personality in a small package. They can be excellent companions for individuals or families with older children, and their compact size makes them highly suitable for apartment living, provided they receive adequate exercise. While generally healthy, potential health concerns include patellar luxation, dental issues, and heart conditions, inherited from their parent breeds. Early socialization and consistent training are crucial for a well-adjusted Chipin.
