A handsome 2.5-month-old black Lab mix with a sweet temperament, a sharp little mind, and the kind of affectionate personality that makes you fall fast. Comet is the total package. He’s well-tempered, eager to learn, and incredibly people-oriented. He loves being part of whatever is happening — whether that’s playing with toys, exploring his surroundings, or curling up close for some quiet cuddle time. He’s a smart boy who picks up on routines quickly and thrives with positive guidance. He is doing great with crate training and house training in his foster home. He’s great with other dogs and good with cats, making him a wonderful addition to many different types of homes. He’d love a canine buddy to grow up with but would also do beautifully soaking up all the attention as your one and only. With continued structure and training, he’s going to grow into an amazing family companion. Comet’s journey started with resilience. During a chilly Southern winter, his brave mama was found roaming a rural neighborhood—pregnant, alone, and searching for safety. She found shelter in an abandoned house and brought her babies into the world on her own. For weeks she kept them safe until, just before a winter storm swept through South Carolina, our rescue partner discovered the little family and brought them to safety. Thanks to her strength—and that timely rescue—Comet is now safe, warm, and ready for a forever home. SNARR requires a $150 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption.
