Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Hi there! Iâm Goku, a 6-year-old pit bull with a big heart and a gentle soul. I was surrendered through no fault of my own, and while change can be a little scary, Iâm doing my best every day to build my confidence and show the world just how amazing I am. Iâm starting to open up more and more, and when I do, youâll see my sweet, loving personality shine. Iâve done well in play groups, but have found that I do not want to live with another dog (as much as I enjoy romping around and playing chase with them). Iâm a work in progress in the best wayâlearning, growing, and becoming more confident with each new experience. With a patient and loving home, I know Iâll blossom into the loyal, affectionate companion youâve been looking for. If youâre ready to cheer on a deserving boy as he continues his glow-up, Goku is ready to be your hero! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog's better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes: - initial canine distemper combination vaccination - first worming or stool check - rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age) - 24 Petwatch microchipping - flea treatment/preventative - spaying or neutering -heartworm testing Adoption fee: $135.00 Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2025 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. The cost of the license is $9.20. (Senior Citizen or Person with Disability-$7.20) Leash and collar included

In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
