Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed. Cattle Dog mix, female Meet Tina! About 18 months old, Tina is from King's County Animal Services. And she's about 18lbs! She is very sweet and demure, but playful. Give her love and she soaks it up like a sponge. Tina is a gem! Really nice little heeler. I didn't have to put a leash on her. She follows beautifully in the enclosure. It's big enough to train recall up there. She did great off leash. Tina is a sweetheart with all dogs. She loves people. When you approach her she immediately rolls on her side and shows her belly, inviting pets and scratches. Tina is located in Templeton, CA. Tina is spayed, chipped, current on vaccinations and parasite abatement and she is ready to roll in out into her new forever home! Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
