She enjoys a good play session, but is also very laid back and loves to cuddle and get affection! Roma wants to find a home where she can get plenty of love and bring joy to her new family. Roma has done wonderfully with all of the kids she’s met. She has even played appropriately with kittens and adult cats in her southern foster home! Roma adores other dogs and would do great with a canine sibling or as a solo pet. She loves to spend time outside, chasing tennis balls or playing with her buddies. This intelligent pup has been working hard on her house training and with a consistent schedule she is sure to master it in no time. She is not a fan of the crate, but does stay in a gated area with no issues. Roma is good on a leash, only pulling a bit when excited. This smart girl is a fast learner and looks forward to impressing you with her training. Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
