This stunning sweetheart will steal your heart the moment you gaze into his two-toned brown and blue eyes. His unique coloring and striking markings make him truly one of a kind. Poe’s early life was filled with uncertainty, so he can be a little slow to adjust to new environments. But his gentle timidness never reflects the way he feels about people. Poe lives to love. He’s a dedicated cuddle bug, a loyal companion, and a dog who wants nothing more than to bond deeply with his people. Poe thrives in the company of other dogs and would likely do best in a home with a confident canine friend. Having another dog around helps him learn, grow, and continue building his confidence. He has previously lived with a cat and was very respectful. While he hasn’t spent time around children, he could do well with kids who enjoy cuddling and understand the importance of gentle, patient introductions. Poe is making wonderful progress with his training and is almost fully potty trained, with only an occasional accident. He would do best in a home where someone is around frequently—such as a work-from-home household—so he can have regular opportunities to go outside while he continues building consistency. Poe is crate trained and may briefly let you know he’d rather be with his people, but he settles in quickly. He walks calmly on a leash and is a pleasant companion on outings, though he may appreciate a little extra reassurance in busy or high-traffic areas. Poe is searching for a patient, understanding home that will give him the time and encouragement he needs to feel safe and confident.
