With a perfect mid-level energy, she enjoys playtime just as much as she loves relaxing. Sunny would make an easygoing addition to just about any family. Sunny is a true dog’s dog and is always excited to meet and play with new canine friends. She’s a little more reserved when meeting new people and likes to approach at her own speed to sniff, after which she’s everyone’s friend. Sunny has done great with the kids she’s met and would be a wonderful friend to dog-savvy children. She hasn’t met cats yet, but with her gentle personality she would likely get along with them with proper introductions. While she has a blast playing with dogs or her people, Sunny is also content to curl up on her bed and chew a toy independently. Sunny is crated consistently during the day and overnight. She sometimes takes a few minutes to get everything arranged the way she likes it, then she settles right in. Sunny is also house trained! She walks well on her leash and likes to learn new things, so she looks forward to picking up new routines and tricks. Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
