Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). Jeremiah (A141308) is just over a year old, a Lab mix, who weighed nearly 90 pounds on intake! 03/03/26 This handsome boy is Jeremiah! Jeremiah was surrendered to the shelter in hopes of finding his new loving family. This pup was getting himself into trouble by visiting the neighbor's home and getting into their trash. He might enjoy having a fenced-in yard in his next home so he can enjoy the outdoors without wandering off. Jeremiah was said to be kennel trained, housebroken, and know his basic commands. He has no experience with men but was said to do well with children in his last home. Making appropriate introductions is important in helping him feel secure and setting him up for success. Jeremiah was said to get along with other dogs but has no experience with smaller critters like cats or pocket pets. Slow, safe, and controlled introductions are always recommended. Jeremiah is a sweet boy and would love to find his new home; if you are interested in meeting him, please let us know! Fun fact: His surrendering owner stated his mom was a purebred lab, and his dad had quite the lineage, with his DNA test coming back as Golden Retriever, Pyrenees, German Shepherd, Chow Chow mix. Jeremiah was also said to be the firstborn of the litter and was born on Valentine's Day!
