A5755005 Billy is a 6-month-old male Queensland Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog) with a stunning red merle coat and beautifully frosted white fur accented by a bold orange patch. Weighing 44 lbs as of February 10, Billy was found as a stray on February 9 and is still just a baby trying to navigate the overwhelming shelter environment.❤️ When first seen, Billy was lying quietly in his kennel, looking a little unsure — a shelter is no place for a young, intelligent working-breed pup. He was initially shy around the camera but quickly gained confidence and came forward with gentle encouragement. His soft expression and handsome coloring make him unforgettable. Due to their herding instincts and need for space, they are generally not suitable for apartment living and thrive in homes with yards.
