Winston’s story began in rescue on 11/27, and from the very start, he has been surrounded by people who cared deeply about giving him the best possible future. He was adopted as a young pup and deeply loved, but through no fault of his own, his family has realized that Winston would truly thrive in a different environment—one with older children, another dog to play with, and people who understand puppy development. Winston is a very smart mixed-breed pup, expected to be around 60 lbs when fully grown. He is already well on his way to being a fantastic companion—he knows sit, down, shake, and roll over, is fully potty trained, and loves going for leash walks where he can explore the world and show off his good manners. Like many puppies his age, Winston is currently in a very mouthy stage of puppyhood. He is not aggressive—he is learning and exploring with his mouth—but he does need a family that understands appropriate redirection, consistency, and boundary-setting. With clear guidance and positive reinforcement, Winston responds beautifully and is eager to please. Because of this stage, a home with older children who can respect boundaries is important for his success. Winston is affectionate, intelligent, and thrives with canine companionship. Having another dog in the home helps him learn, play, and channel his energy in healthy ways. He bonds deeply with his people and wants to be an active, engaged member of the family—learning, walking, and growing alongside you. We are urgently seeking a foster-to-adopt family for Winston so he can transition smoothly into his next chapter. His foster family will have the first opportunity to adopt him, allowing Winston the stability he deserves without unnecessary moves. The adoption fee of $300 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family.
