Description
Dog Breed: Golden Retriever (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 675. Meet Chloe, she is approximately 4 months old and ready for her new home and loving forever family. Chloe is a sweet and loving and is eager to please her person. She is crate trained and working on house training. She is very bright and loves to learn new things. She is doing well with leash training and is a happy puppy. She has been given vaccinations here at NBSR and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. She has been started on Heartworm monthly and will be due for her first Rabies vaccination soon. Chloe goes out on a spay contract to be spayed at 12 months, NO SOONER, it has been proven that early spay/neuter causes a number of cancers in dogs and can impair growth and development. If you are interested in adopting Chloe or any dog available at NBSR, please email JulieNewBeginningsRescue and ask for an Adoption Application to be emailed to you. If you have any questions about any dog at NBSR please don't hesitate to ask. New Beginnings Shepherd Rescue is a volunteer based rescue, we work very hard to help as many adoptable GSDs as possible. Most of our dogs come from high kill shelters across the country, so sadly we do not have any background information on them.....but we work very hard to get to know each and every dog brought into our program in need of a new beginning in their lives. We do not take animals with aggression problems (some may not like other dogs, cats, or may require older kids as opposed to younger children, but we will let you know everything that we know) most of these beautiful dogs have been faithful and loving family pets for their entire lives, yet still have lost their homes and families through no fault of their own. If you are interested in opening your heart and home to one of these amazing dogs please fill out our adoption application at .newbeginningsrescue/adoption-application and we will get back in touch after we get it processed. If you don't hear from us in 3 days, please send us a gentle reminder and one of us will get right on it. Please indicate the dog you are interested in meeting, where it says preference on the application! You may also email julienewbeginningsrescue , we are always happy to answer any questions you may have. If you give them your heart, they will give you theirs.

Overview:
The Golden Retriever, a beloved breed originating from the Scottish Highlands in the mid-19th century, was developed for retrieving game from land and water. Physically, they are medium-sized dogs known for their striking golden-colored coats, ranging from cream to dark gold, which are dense and water-repellent. Their gentle eyes and friendly smiles are as characteristic as their feathered tails and strong, well-proportioned bodies. Temperamentally, Golden Retrievers are celebrated for their amiable, intelligent, and devoted nature, making them exceptionally patient and tolerant companions. This makes them superb family dogs, typically great with children and other pets, though their need for space and exercise means they are generally less suited for apartment living. While generally robust, they are prone to certain health concerns such as hip and elbow dysplasia, certain cancers, and eye conditions, making regular veterinary check-ups crucial for their long-term well-being.
