He will play with his toys, but most of all he wants to be with his human. He has a fairly low energy level, but he would be happy to have a whole family or just one person who will include him in their adventures. Choco gets along great with other dogs and kids. He has not met a cat yet, but would likely coexist without issues. He loves to lay on his back in your arms like a baby and go to sleep, as well as walks car rides. Choco is both house and crate trained, so he is an easy boy to have in the home. He also walks very well on a leash. This boy is about as perfect as can be with a big heart to share with his new family. Could yours be the one for him? A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
