Description
Dog Breed: Miniature Pinscher. Loki is a Miniature Pinscher born on 09/05/2024, and his favorite hobby is keeping track of where all the other dogs are at any given moment. If there’s a canine committee meeting happening somewhere in the house, Loki would like to be included. A naturally shy boy, Loki takes his cues from his dog friends and prefers to have them nearby. He absolutely adores other dogs and has learned so much from his foster siblings. They have shown him that couches are for lounging, routines are pretty great, and humans might actually be worth trusting after all. Since coming into foster care, Loki has made wonderful progress and continues to gain confidence every day. He’s pretty much potty trained, settling nicely into home life, and becoming more comfortable with new experiences. While he can still be a little reserved at first, all Loki really needs is a little love and a little patience to allow him to warm up to people at his own pace. Once he feels safe, you’ll start to see the sweet, gentle boy underneath. Loki isn’t the life of the party—and he’d be perfectly happy letting another dog handle those responsibilities. He’s more of a quiet observer, a loyal sidekick, and a professional follower of friends. Give him a canine buddy, a cozy spot to nap, and a little time to settle in, and he’ll be one happy little guy. If you’re looking for a sweet companion with adorable ears, a tender heart, and a deep appreciation for dog friendships, Loki may just be your perfect match. The suggested adoption fee for Loki is $585. Bullies-N-Beyond is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Adoption donation fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. All dogs adopted through BNBR will have been administered their age-appropriate vaccines, which may include DHPP, Rabies, Lepto, and Bordetella. All dogs will also be adopted out as already altered if of age, for those not of age, a voucher will be provided. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area, and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. BNBR does not adopt on a first serve basis. All available dogs are adopted based on their needs to provide the best fit home.

Breed overview
Miniature Pinscher
A.K.A.: Min Pin, Zwergpinscher, Reh Pinscher, Teacup Miniature Pinscher, Toy Miniature Pinscher, Mini Pinscher
Overview:
The Miniature Pinscher, often affectionately called "Min Pin," is a small, elegant breed originating from Germany, where it was bred to hunt vermin. Despite its resemblance to a small Doberman, the two breeds are distinct. Physically, Min Pins are characterized by their sleek, short coats, typically black, red, or chocolate with rust markings, and their alert, high-stepping gait, earning them the nickname "King of Toys." They possess a confident, curious, and often bold temperament, embodying a big dog personality in a compact package. While they are energetic and require regular exercise, their small size makes them well-suited for apartment living, provided they receive adequate mental and physical stimulation. They can be good family pets, especially with older children who understand how to interact with a smaller, more delicate dog. Prospective owners should be aware of potential health issues such as patellar luxation and progressive retinal atrophy. Overall, the Min Pin is a lively, intelligent companion for those seeking an active and spirited small dog.
