Description
Dog Breed: Poodle (Standard) / Saint Bernard / Mixed. Meet Beethoven! Meet Beethoven — a 4-year-old gentle giant with a heart as big as his paws! At approximately 125 lbs, Beethoven is a lovable Saint Berdoodle who’s equal parts cuddle buddy and loyal companion. He’s potty trained, crate trained, and enjoys being part of the family action. While he may give a little vocal “protest” when crated away from his people, it’s only because he loves being close to his humans. Beethoven is wonderful with kids and has the calm, affectionate personality that makes him an easy fit for a family home. He does seem to prefer to have his people to himself vs a fur sibling. He will do best in a home familiar with giant breeds and the unintentional body checks and heavy leaning that come along with these lovable giants. Whether he’s lounging nearby, following you from room to room, or soaking up attention, he’s happiest when included in daily life. If you’re looking for a sweet, well-mannered oversized best friend, Beethoven may be your perfect match! He is neutered, dewormed, microchipped, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for his age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Beethoven is currently being fostered in South Carolina. ADOPT BEETHOVEN!! .LuckyPupRescueSC The adoption fee is $375.00 and we require a vet check and home visit.

Breed overview
Overview:
The Saint Berdoodle, a charming cross between the Standard Poodle and the Saint Bernard, is a relatively new designer breed gaining popularity for its delightful blend of traits. Originating from the desire to create a large, friendly dog with a lower-shedding coat, these dogs typically inherit the Saint Bernard's impressive size and gentle nature, combined with the Poodle's intelligence and hypoallergenic qualities (though shedding can vary). Physically, they are large and robust, often sporting a wavy to curly coat in various colors, and possess a warm, expressive face. Temperamentally, Saint Berdoodles are known for being affectionate, loyal, and good-natured, making them excellent family pets that thrive on companionship. While their large size means they are not ideal for small apartments, they can adapt to various living situations if provided with adequate exercise and space. Potential owners should be aware of common health concerns found in their parent breeds, such as hip and elbow dysplasia, bloat, and certain eye conditions, necessitating regular vet check-ups.
