This sweet pup started her journey as a stray in Puerto Rico, hopped on a plane to New Jersey, and is now searching for a family of her very own. One thing we know for sure? Josie has never met a stranger. Her first response when she sees her people is enthusiastic tail wags, kisses, and pure joy. She loves being part of the action and wants nothing more than to be close to her favorite humans and furry friends. And for everyone searching for a cat-friendly dog—take note! Josie currently lives with cats in her foster home and has done wonderfully. If a cat runs, she may give chase (she is still a puppy, after all!), but once she catches up, she's more interested in handing out kisses than causing trouble. She genuinely seems happy to have cats as part of her pack. Josie is a smart, affectionate little girl who is really coming out of her shell. She's become more playful, more confident, and just the right amount of puppy mischievous. She loves playing with other dogs, chasing a ball, and then settling down for cuddle time when she's tired. One of her sweetest quirks? She likes to hold your hand while she sleeps. Josie will gently take your hand in her mouth, curl up beside you, and drift off to sleep feeling safe and loved. It's impossible not to melt when she does it. She's about 90% house-trained, already knows to sit before heading outside, does great for nail trims and teeth brushing, and learns quickly with positive reinforcement. Like many puppies, she can still be a little mouthy when excited, but she redirects easily and is eager to please. Whether she's zooming around with her dog friends, snuggling on the couch, or making friends with the cats, Josie approaches life with a happy heart and a wagging tail.
