Description
Dog Breed: Golden Retriever. Meet Tipper — Our Little Tripod Doggo Tipper’s story began on the median of a busy highway in China. He and his mom, Carrie, were desperately trying to survive as cars sped past them. His brave mama did everything she could to keep her little puppy from wandering into traffic. Thankfully, one of our rescue teams learned about their situation and rushed to save them both. Once they were safe, it became clear that Tipper’s leg had been badly tangled in some type of wire. The injury had become severely infected, and the kindest option was to amputate. But don’t tell Tipper he’s missing a leg! This adorable, rambunctious puppy hasn’t let anything slow him down. He runs, plays, explores, and loves life with the enthusiasm that only a happy puppy can. His resilience is nothing short of inspiring, and his joyful spirit reminds us every day that challenges don’t define us. Tipper is looking for a family who will see beyond his three legs and recognize the incredible, loving companion he is. Could you be the one to accept Tipper’s challenge and give this amazing little tripod the forever home he deserves?

Overview:
The Golden Retriever, a beloved breed originating from the Scottish Highlands in the mid-19th century, was developed for retrieving game from land and water. Physically, they are medium-sized dogs known for their striking golden-colored coats, ranging from cream to dark gold, which are dense and water-repellent. Their gentle eyes and friendly smiles are as characteristic as their feathered tails and strong, well-proportioned bodies. Temperamentally, Golden Retrievers are celebrated for their amiable, intelligent, and devoted nature, making them exceptionally patient and tolerant companions. This makes them superb family dogs, typically great with children and other pets, though their need for space and exercise means they are generally less suited for apartment living. While generally robust, they are prone to certain health concerns such as hip and elbow dysplasia, certain cancers, and eye conditions, making regular veterinary check-ups crucial for their long-term well-being.
