Description
Dog Breed: Great Pyrenees / Golden Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $40. My name is Chyna, and I'm a 6-month-old, 37-pound Great Pyrenees mix with a serious case of Happy Puppy Syndrome. Side effects include zoomies, making instant friends with other dogs, and believing every human I meet has been waiting their entire life to pet me. Now, yes... I'm a Pyrenees mix. Does that mean I dream of guarding sheep? Honestly, I have no idea. I've never met one. They could be wonderful. They could be judgmental. Either way, I'm pretty convinced I'd rather guard your couch, supervise snack time, and make sure no pizza crust ever hits the floor unsupervised. I'm playful, friendly, and fully committed to becoming your loyal sidekick, adventure buddy, and professional house dog. My adoption fee is sponsored and reduced to just $40, which includes my spay, rabies and distemper/parvo vaccines, vet exam, fecal test, general dewormer, and microchip before I head home. If you'd like to meet me, call 256-362-5856 to schedule an appointment. Warning: Looking into my puppy eyes may result in an unexpected new roommate. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Breed overview
Overview:
The Golden Pyrenees, a delightful cross between the Golden Retriever and the Great Pyrenees, offers the best of both worlds. Originating from intentional breeding to combine desirable traits, this hybrid typically sports a lush, medium-to-long coat in shades of gold, cream, or white, coupled with a sturdy, athletic build. Physically, they are large dogs, inheriting the Great Pyrenees' substantial size and the Golden Retriever's friendly expression. Their temperament is a harmonious blend of the Golden's eagerness to please and the Pyrenees' gentle, watchful nature, making them incredibly loyal, affectionate, and generally good with children and other pets. While highly adaptable, their size and need for moderate exercise mean they are best suited for families with ample space, rather than small apartments. Prospective owners should be aware of potential health concerns inherited from parent breeds, such as hip and elbow dysplasia or certain heart conditions, underscoring the importance of responsible breeding and regular veterinary check-ups.
