I know I have a big bark, but once I meet you outside my kennel, I'm just a big baby. I love my toys and bouncing around with my favorite people, and I'll never say no to a good belly rub. I have mixed feelings when meeting other dogs, so I would need to meet any potential dog siblings to make sure we get along. I'm a bit of a jumper and many not be suited for kiddos of all ages. I need a patient leader to help teach me to be the best dog I can be. Daily walks and lots of playtime sounds like a dream for a Weekend Athlete like me! Meet Button today! Physically, they are robust dogs, instantly recognizable by their medium-large size, strong build, and striking black coat with distinct tan markings, particularly on the muzzle, chest, and legs. Their temperament, when properly socialized and trained, is one of unwavering loyalty and confidence; they are known for being calm and courageous, making them excellent guardians. While generally good with children within their own family, their protective instincts mean they require supervision with strangers. Due to their size and need for regular exercise and mental stimulation, Rottweilers are generally not ideal for apartment living and thrive in homes with secure yards. Health-wise, they can be predisposed to conditions such as hip and elbow dysplasia, as well as certain heart conditions, necessitating responsible breeding practices and regular veterinary check-ups.
