Description
Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Husky / Mixed (short coat). Denali (A139339) is a 2-year-old Lab x Husky mix who weighed 72.4 pounds on intake! 07/02/26 Denali, previously known as Sizzle, is back at the shelter and looking for her new home! She was returned to the shelter because she was digging holes and escaping from the fenced-in yard. She was stated to be quite the excavator and left plenty of large holes in the yard. Other than that, she was described as a great and loving dog! She did fabulous with the babies and children in the home! And seems to love everyone she meets! Denali was also stated to do well with other dogs but has no experience with cats. They did find that she enjoyed hunting voles in the yard, so she would do best in a home without pocket pets. Denali was stated to be housebroken, knows her basic commands, and rides well in a vehicle. She is a very sweet girl looking for the right place to call home! If you are interested in meeting Denali, please let us know! 8/20/25 This energetic gal is Sizzle aka Sizzy! Sizzy arrived at the shelter as a stray and is now looking for her new home! At the shelter, she has been a ball of energy! She is looking for a home that will be able to keep her both mentally and physically stimulated so she stays out of trouble! She loves to bounce around and play bow! Since she was a stray, we do not know her experience level around children or other animals. Please ensure you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all new people and animals to help set her up for success. We also strongly encourage her next owner to bring her to a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to continue working on her manners. Sizzle is a runner so she should always be on a leash, secure tie-out, or supervised when in a fenced-in yard. We do not know if Sizzle is housebroken, but at the shelter, she has done a good job at going potty outside and keeping her kennel clean! If you are interested in meeting this girl and feel that you can meet her energy needs, please let us know!

Breed overview
Overview:
The Labsky, a charming crossbreed of the Labrador Retriever and the Siberian Husky, originated from the desire to combine the best traits of its beloved parent breeds. Physically, they are medium to large dogs, often exhibiting a fascinating blend of features; expect a robust build, varying coat colors and textures (from sleek black to fluffy merle), and captivating eye colors, sometimes even heterochromia. Temperamentally, Labskies are known for being intelligent, energetic, and loyal. They thrive on human companionship and require significant mental and physical stimulation to prevent boredom, making them best suited for active families or individuals with a large, securely fenced yard. Due to their energy levels and potential for vocalization, they are generally not ideal for apartment living. While typically healthy, they can inherit predispositions to conditions seen in their parent breeds, such as hip and elbow dysplasia, eye conditions, and certain skin allergies, so responsible breeding and regular vet check-ups are crucial.
