Meet Waylon, a 6-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix who's ready to find a loving family to call his own.Waylon came to the shelter as a stray, so we have very little information about his past. What we do know is that he has been a calm, easygoing gentleman during his time with us. He enjoys spending time with people and has a relaxed demeanor that makes him a wonderful companion.Waylon recently participated in a dog playgroup and did well with the other dogs. He was respectful and social, but he seemed to prefer the company of calmer canine friends. Because of this, we believe he would thrive in a home with a laid-back dog rather than a young, high-energy playmate.Since Waylon arrived as a stray, his history with cats and children is unknown. As with any new pet, slow, supervised introductions to resident pets and children are recommended to help ensure a successful transition.If you're looking for a steady, loyal best friend who enjoys companionship more than chaos, Waylon may be the perfect addition to your family. If you are interested in meeting Waylon, please visit the shelter during open adoption hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 10 AMâ12:30 PM & 2 PMâ4 PM Thursday: 10 AMâ12:30 PM & 2 PMâ6:30 PM Saturday: 9 AMâ1 PM If you do not own your home, please bring written consent from the property owner allowing a dog on the property. If you have another dog at home, please plan to bring them for a meet-and-greet before completing the adoption. Adoption fees: 6 months and younger: $250 7 monthsâ5 years: $200 6â10 years: $150 11 years and older: $100 Watch for adoption specials!
