Description
Dog Breed: Great Pyrenees / Labrador Retriever / Mixed. Sometimes all it takes is one kind person to change a life, and that is exactly what happened for beautiful Fauna. This sweet 6-month-old Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever mix was found as a stray, underweight and in desperate need of love and care. Thanks to the compassion of a wonderful woman who took her in, Fauna has blossomed into a happy, healthy young pup with a bright future ahead of her. With her soft tan coat, gentle eyes, and already weighing 50 pounds, she will grow into a stunning adult, but it is her kind heart that truly makes her unforgettable. For this girl, it is go big or go home and big is the adult size Fauna is heading toward. She will most likely be a big girl of over 90 pounds when fully grown. In just a few short weeks, Fauna has amazed everyone with how much she has learned. She has made wonderful progress with her housetraining, is already crate trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. She is described as incredibly gentle and easygoing. She gets along wonderfully with children, other dogs, cats, and even chickens, making her the kind of companion who fits seamlessly into almost any loving home. Although she can be a little shy when meeting new people, all it takes is a little patience and kindness before her playful, affectionate personality shines through. Fauna has the perfect medium energy level that makes her equally happy joining in family adventures or relaxing by your side after a day of fun. When playtime is over, she is more than content to curl up beside her favorite people, soaking up all the love and attention she can get. Her calm, loyal nature makes every moment spent with her feel special. Fauna has already overcome so much in her young life, and now all she needs is a family to love her forever. If you are looking for a gentle, loyal, playful companion who will fill your home with unconditional love, laughter, and countless happy memories, Fauna may be the perfect match. Open your heart to this remarkable girl, and you will quickly discover that rescuing her just might be one of the best decisions you will ever make. * When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Fauna is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us. If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.

Breed overview
Overview:
Labrenees or Pyrador is the mix of one large-sized dog; the Great Pyrenees and one medium-sized dog; Labrador Retriever. As a hybrid, it has better quality than its parent breeds as the traits and characteristics are mixed. These are very large dogs that are typically more cooperative and trainable than the Great Pyrenees, but more discriminating and naturally protective than the Labrador Retriever.
