Dog Breed: Boston Terrier / Mixed. Rhubarb is a sweet 3-year-old girl who has come such a long way since coming into rescue. When she arrived, she was in awful condition and had some of the worst skin we had ever seen. Her skin has made incredible progress, and she is healing beautifully! Her mange treatment continues to go very well, and she has a recheck coming up to make sure she stays on the right track. Rhubarb is a happy, playful girl who loves attention from everyone, adults and kids alike! She gets along with dogs of all sizes and loves playing with her foster brother. She has also been curious and appropriate around the kitties she has met. Potty training is still a work in progress. Rhubarb does go potty outside and will usually use a pee pad inside if her foster misses her cue. She is also doing well with her crate training and being gated in the bathroom when she needs to be contained. She sleeps through the night and is a great eater… maybe a little too great of an eater because this girl will eat ANYTHING at ANY time! Rhubarb is working on her leash manners. She can walk on a leash, but she isn’t always convinced that she needs to go where you want her to go. If she disagrees, she may simply put on the brakes, lay down, or dramatically roll onto her back! She definitely has a personality of her own! Some of Rhubarb’s favorite things: Playing with her foster brother Toys Attention from people Kids Food… ALL the food! Sleeping through the night ‍ Playing hard Rhubarb would be happy in many different types of homes. We would love to see her in a home where she gets plenty of stimulation, playtime, and interaction. Another playful dog would be wonderful, but if she is your only pup, regular opportunities to play and socialize with other friendly dogs would be important. She could be a great match for a family with kids who want a fun, playful dog to hang out with. She has a sweet temperament and her smaller size makes her easy for little ones to enjoy. After everything this sweet girl has been through, it is so amazing to see her playing, eating, sleeping soundly, and enjoying life again. She has worked hard for this second chance, and now she is ready for the forever family she deserves!
