She is a medium energy gal who loves a good zoomie session in the yard before settling right back into couch nap mode. She would be a wonderful fit for just about any home looking for a calm, loving companion. Evora loves playing with other dogs and would do great with or without a canine sibling. She has been calm and nonconfrontational around a hissing cat and would do well with a dog-savvy cat who can set the tone. She is wonderful with kids and has been tested with children ages seven and up, making her a great fit for a family home. Evora is a relaxed, easygoing girl who is fully crate trained and settles in with a little encouragement and a treat. She is fully house trained on a regular potty break schedule. She enjoys her walks and may pull a little at first but responds well to gentle correction and is easy to redirect. This gentle, loving girl is ready to steal your heart from day one. Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
