Dog Breed: Samoyed / Mixed. Shayla is a happy, energetic, and affectionate dog who brings enthusiasm to everything she does. Foster describes her as always ready for an adventure, whether that means exploring the yard, going for walks, playing with toys, or simply spending time with her people. Despite her energetic personality, she settles down quickly after activity and is able to relax comfortably in the home. She is fully house-trained, walks nicely on a leash, rides calmly in the car, and has shown no fears, sensitivities, resource guarding, or aggression. Shayla enjoys cuddling and being close to her people, often hopping into laps whenever someone sits down, making her both an active companion and a loving cuddle buddy. Shayla currently lives successfully with both small and large dogs and appears to genuinely enjoy canine companionship. Her play style is soft, bouncy, toy-focused, and respectful, making her a fun but polite playmate. Foster notes that she may occasionally bark when crated if she hears people doing activities without her, but otherwise she adjusts well to crate time and long periods while her foster is at work. She is still learning commands but is eager to engage and continues to make progress.
