To ensure Fluffy #2 finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 72 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails) . Fluffy #2 | 4-year-old Maltese | Tiny body, big personality Fluffy is an 8-pound bundle of charm who brings equal parts sweetness and sass to the table. This handsome white-and-tan Maltese is house trained (no accidents in his foster home) and politely lets you know when he needs to go out by standing by the door. As with any dog adjusting to a new environment, a few accidents can happen at first while he learns a new routine. He enjoys his daily schedule of a couple of short walks—where he generally does great on leash—and playful bursts of energy at home, often showing off his adorable zoomies. Fluffy especially loves toys he can toss around himself, a good game of fetch, and spending time outside alongside his person. At home, Fluffy is a loyal little companion who thrives on attention and affection. He’s happiest when he’s near his human and would love a home where he can truly be the center of someone’s world. He does well when left alone for a few hours and has proven himself to be a perfect gentleman while his foster is away. While he’s friendly with small and similarly sized dogs, he can sometimes be protective of his person—especially around larger dogs or new people—and will benefit from continued guidance and structure to help him feel secure. He can also be a bit mouthy during play, but this is playful rather than aggressive and is something he’s still learning to manage. Fluffy has a fun and quirky personality that will keep you smiling. He’ll roll over for belly rubs, kick up dirt after going potty, and put on quite the show by spinning in circles before he does his business. He can be a little sensitive to loud noises and may bark at passing sights if the door is open, but with consistency and reassurance, he continues to make progress. Fluffy’s ideal home is with a patient, attentive adopter—likely a single female or couple—who can provide structure, affection, and plenty of companionship. In return, he’ll offer unwavering loyalty, endless entertainment, and all the love his tiny body can hold. If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. Breed overview
Overview:
The Papitese, a delightful hybrid of the Maltese and Papillon, offers a charming blend of its parent breeds, making it a popular choice for many households. Originating from designer breed programs, these small companions typically inherit the elegant, plumed tail of the Papillon and the silky, flowing coat of the Maltese, often in shades of white, cream, or parti-colors. Physically, they are small-sized dogs, usually weighing between 5-10 pounds, with expressive eyes and often an alert, inquisitive expression. Their temperament is generally described as affectionate, intelligent, and lively, making them wonderful family pets and excellent companions for seniors or individuals living in apartments due to their moderate exercise needs. They thrive on human interaction and can be prone to separation anxiety if left alone for extended periods. While generally robust, potential health considerations include luxating patellas, dental issues, and eye conditions, common in their parent breeds. Early socialization and consistent training are key to nurturing a well-adjusted Papitese.
