Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler (medium coat). Please note this dog is NOT an official Underdog dog, and you will be connected with the person who has the dog. Please Contact Joshua, 808-237-9557, Joshuamelden485gmail: MEET COCO CHANEL!! It's Coco's way or the highway. When she is getting her way, she's the happiest, silliest pup you could meet. She will play fetch or run around with you at the park until she drops. Just make sure that you leave on her time or she will avoid coming back to you or sit down and not budge when the leash is on. At home, when she is in the mood, she loves to snuggle on the bed or the couch. She will lay by your feet and nap in the afternoon. But be careful, if you move too much, she might throw a tissy and nip your toes. Yes, she nips, often. It is in the breed, so she needs someone who understands the breed. She does not bite (break skin), but she has a short fuse and will definitely flip a switch in a hurry if you are doing something she doesn't like or want. Coco loves the outdoors and being off leash. She has the confidence and the freedom to be herself to be free. She was spooked by some other dogs when she was a puppy, so she is very timid of other dogs and people at first. She warms up quickly, but she does not like being around other dogs when she is on a leash. While on leash, she puts on a defensive front to protect herself. Off leash, she is very timid, and really just wants to play as long as the other dog is not too aggressive or dominant. She loves every human and will run up to you and jump on you as if you are a long lost friend. Coco is amazing but is not for the faint of heart. She is a challenging dog who would do exceptionally well with someone with a yard, free time, and dedication to her training and exercise (both mental and physical) needs. Once she is more properly trained, she would do great with kids, but not until then. Meet Coco Chanel today! Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
