Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). Aurora (A142187) is a 9-month-old German Shepherd x Lab mix who weighed 55.1 pounds on intake! 09/08/26 This cute pup is Aurora! Aurora arrived at the shelter as a stray and is hoping to find her place to call home! She shines bright like the aurora borealis and has a dazzling personality! She is definitely still a puppy and figuring out how to be her best self. She is looking for a patient owner who can continue her training. She may need some reminders with potty training and continued help with basic commands. She is young and full of potential! We do not know if she has experience with other children or other animals. It is important that introductions are made in a slow, safe, and controlled/neutral environment to help set her up for success. Aurora has been being treated for Giardia while at the shelter, but is feeling so much better! If you are interested in meeting Miss Aurora, please let us know!

Physically, they often exhibit the Shepherd’s strong bone structure and the Lab’s kind eyes. Temperamentally, Shepradors are generally intelligent, loyal, and trainable, making them excellent companions for active families. They thrive on human interaction and do best in homes with a yard, as their energy levels make apartment living challenging without significant daily exercise. While generally healthy, potential health considerations include hip and elbow dysplasia, common to both parent breeds, and eye conditions. Early socialization and consistent training are key to fostering a well-adjusted Sheprador.
