She is friendly, easygoing, and happiest when she’s right by your side. With a medium energy level and her love of all people, she will fit right in to just about any home. Clover is amazing with kids of all ages and does great with other dogs. She is submissive and enjoys playing. She has not been around cats, but would most likely coexist without issues. Clover is both crate and house trained, making her an easy addition to her forever family. She is a total couch cuddler and would happily spend her evenings snuggled up with her people. Once she's feeling settled and confident, she walks with no problems on a leash. Clover is such a chill girl who is simply happy to be here. She has the sweetest personality and one absolutely gorgeous blue eye that makes her extra special! Could your family be the one for her? A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
