Posted Breed: Rottweiler / Mixed. Bubbly Beverly, with her precocious and puppy-like personality, was born to love and be loved. Clearly someone’s pet at one time, the 1.6-year-old black beauty is 63 pounds of enthusiasm and energy, cuddliness and curiosity, revealing more of her naturally sweet self to her fosters each day. Most content in their company, she loves snuggling with them on the sofa and kissing their faces, playing tug-o-war and games of indoor fetch with them, and prancing about prettily for them when she chases after her Frisbee or ball outside. At her best when physically active, she also loves going on brisk three-mile walks and doing treat puzzles, racing around the yard with her equally energetic doggy foster friend, and using both lick and sniff mats. Fond of chewing on bones and antlers, and gentle with plush toys, she’s still learning about boundaries and sharing, but being highly intelligent and eager to please, is progressing smoothly, stage by stage. Motivated by love, toys, and food, she knows “come,” “sit,” “down,” “stay,” and “no,” with small peanut butter packets or small treats working wonders. Crate-trained and almost fully leash and house-trained, Beverly is best suited to an experienced home without cats, with older children and perhaps another playful pup, and loving adopters who will patiently complete her education, including her commands, and ensure she’s kept mentally and physically satisfied fur-ever. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order they're submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, we will connect you with our dogs' foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a "meet and greet" is set up. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to finalize the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption.
