The second born out of a large litter, this stocky fella is a second generation Sharpeagle with medium to high energy. He recently discovered a love of playing 'soccer' with a giant beach ball in the play yard, or playing fetch with any kind of toy really. He is surprisingly athletic for such a little dude (he can even scale a baby gate when determined, so make sure yours are tall). Dewey enjoys chomping on ice cubes so much that he will quickly camp out by the freezer and gaze up longingly at you if he thinks you are filling a cup with ice. Car rides don't phase him, in fact, he will want to have a good view of your drive so make sure those windows are clear (and he is safely secured). Busy places might be okay if other dogs there behave themselves, or just be mindful of how/when he could get nervous; don't force it and he will probably grow to love such outings. Dewey is so loyal to his Shar-Pei guardian genetics that he will place himself just-so (leaning on your leg), facing the door like it is second nature to be on duty right where you are. He also assumes he is a lap blanket and may insist on napping there as you read or watch tv. There is definitely more to discover under the wrinkles of this little fella and loads to love about him. Just know that Dewey will always have your back, watch your six, be your shadow ...and your best bud. Reared in a NON-SMOKING home environment and may only be adopted into a non-smoking (and non-vaping) new household as a precaution against certain risks to canine longevity. Enrichment methods included: appropriate agility obstacles; stairs; noise desensitization; human interactions; name recognition; interaction with visitors; car rides; outdoors (e.g. rain); various surfaces, noises, structures (e.g. climbing), toys (e.g. ball); socialized with elderly; socialized with adult dogs; socialized with children somewhat; and potty trained. Items Included: Receives premium nutrition and care from birth thru to adoption. Receives all required vaccinations and veterinary appointments including all boosters and monthly preventatives from birth thru to adoption. Additional veterinary services such as the flu vaccine and rabies vaccine were also administered, along with a lifetime microchip registration. Neutered as of 09-29-2023. Health panel and medical records are always sent **electronically** to the new veterinarian within 24-hours of a puppy's adoption (vet contact info required before puppy pick-up/delivery is arranged). We send our puppies home with a travel harness; travel bed or blanket (family scented); favorite toy; travel bowl; transition food (3-4 days); a collar and leash; tags (name, rabies); microchip; training clicker and high value kibble/treats; plus other items. A written contract is required if you purchase a puppy from us. A written contract protects both you and the breeder and ensures you have a shared understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
