Age: Approximately 10 years old Weight: 13 pounds Dog friendly: yes, small dogs Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Yes, older respectful children only Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes, but doesn’t need it Miss Mimi is a lot like Mary Poppins, in that she's practically perfect in every way. She's an older lady with the heart of a puppy and enough love for a dog 10 times her size. She is very people focused and loves to be with her person, and is a champion snuggler. She's loved every woman she's met, but can be selective with men. Some she adores and others she asks to back off. She does well with other dogs, though she is wary of those much larger than herself, but would love to be the center of her humans' attention. She is house trained and has wonderful manners, travels well, walks well on leash, does not need a fenced yard, and is a delight to be around. Mimi came into rescue after her owners passed away, and had some health hurdles to get past, but she is now in fine fettle. She lost many of her teeth, but eats meals and treats just fine with what she has left, and it hasn't spoiled her looks one bit. She has some arthritis but with regular pain meds she still loves to play and dance for treats and pets. She's even enjoyed swimming in the lake! She eats prescription food to control bladder stores, and does wonderfully on it. She will need this food going forward. She should have plenty of years left to soak up all the love she can get while helping keep your lap, heart, and pillow warm. Adoption Fee: $595 INTERESTED IN MEETING ME? Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
