Posted Breed: Bichon Frise / Shih Tzu / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 285. Riley is a cute happy sweet guy, that gives little kisses, likes belly scratches and wants to be by his person. His owner who loved him very much passed away and he is looking for a new home. He is a Bichon Frise, Shih Tzu mix that is 6 years old . He has fluffy hair so will need grooming regularly. Riley is a talker and makes all kinds of sounds but will also bark at the door, new people, sounds outside, squirrels etc. An apartment or condo would not be a fit. He is an active little guy who loves going for a walk and playing with toys. Riley prefers to be an only dog in his home but he does get along with other dogs his size. He would like a home with someone that is home often because he misses his person when they are gone. Riley does not like to be pushed or pulled or poked or he will get nippy so no children. Riley prefers women and can be selective with men. He does warm up to men with time. Riley is one of the best bug catchers around! Have a fly in the house? Riley is your guy. Riley came to the rescue with bladder stones and had them surgically removed. Riley will need to be on Hills UD urinary care prescription food for the rest of his life to prevent future bladder stones and receive regular monitoring for prevention.(The food only cost a little more than good quality dog food) Riley also has the beginning of arthritis. Riley is a fun, loving guy, despite this, that is full of life!. Fill out an application if you think he would be a fit in your family. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
