    Rosie

    rescue
    Breed: Borador
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Border Collie / Mixed. Rosie came up to Vermont by way of Texas. She is a happy girl who loves car rides and is a great listener. She enjoys a hike and can even be trusted off leash! Rosie gets along well with the 4 other male dogs in her foster home and she loves to play. She is crate trained and mostly quiet in the house. Rosie loves her treats and is food motivated which helps make her easy to train and is already good on a leash. Not sure on her mix though she appears to be partly lab with maybe Border Collie and/or Golden Retriever thrown in. She is about 4 years old. Please give Rosie the home she deserves! Please go to our website at www.whiteriveranimalrescue.org to fill out an application online. We will contact you for an interview once we have reviewed it. Our adoption fee is $500.00 and our minimum age for adopting is 28.

A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Adoption donations vary and are subject to change without notice. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for feline leukemia and FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.

    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Border Collie / Labrador Retriever / Mixed. Espy is a very sweet 2 year old Border Collie/Lab mix that doesn't let a setback stop her from loving life. This pup may only have three legs but nothing gets her down. She enjoys running, jumping and playing! She constantly wants love from everyone and to give out many kisses. Espy is joyful with everyone she meets and people talk about her bubbly personality when they meet her. She knows her name and will gladly come when called, but also understands a correction word such as “eh-eh”. This southern gal has beautiful soulful eyes, loves the outdoors, going on car rides, kids and other dogs. She sleeps quietly through the night on her own dog bed and is very reliable with potty breaks. Sweet Espy knows sit and takes her treats gently. This precious funny girl is content to be alongside you with a good bone or a good rub behind the ears. Espy would be a perfect family member addition to any great family! Name: Esperanza (nickname Espy) Breed: Border Collie/Lab mix Sex: Female Age: Approximately 2 years Weight: 52.9 pounds as of July 2017 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Vaccinations: Up to date Microchipped: Yes Medical: back right leg amputated BASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Dogs: Yes – Espy had several kennel mates at the shelter & vet techs said she was great with all of them. She was also around smaller dogs in foster home and did very well. Cats:Unknown – she has only encountered one cat at the vet’s office while on a leash & did okay. But has not been around them while roaming around or in a home. Kids: Yes – better fit with older children just due to size and puppy play. Adoption Donation: 450.00 IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Interested in a specific dog, please fill out an application if you are interested in a dog. The number of individual inquiries is overwhelming and we are finding it difficult to respond to each one. We cannot guarantee you will receive a timely response. Paws New England is a rescue, not a shelter, and as such we do not have our dogs housed in one location - they are in foster homes both in New England and in our southern foster homes. If you're interested in a specific dog, please complete a short online application and you will receive a reply within 48 hours so you can ask questions. At present, if a dog is listed on our website, the dog is considered still available HOWEVER, may have applications that have come in before yours but it's still too early to know if any are a good match; therefore we encourage you to apply. NOTICE WITH REGARD TO LOCATION OF DOGS: Please note: Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. We do not have a brick and mortar building to house the dogs we rescue. We have found that dogs in foster homes are much more adoptable because they have been observed in a home setting. Dogs listed with Paws New England typically reside in various locations throughout the south (primarily Tennessee, Texas, and Arkansas) and New England (not necessarily in the state of Rhode Island). You will be notified by the adoption coordinator of the location of the dog you are interested in so you have the ability to decide whether to pursue adoption or not. Dogs transported to New England are done so at a fee of $150.00 paid directly to the transporting company by Paws New England; no additional transport costs are responsibility of adopter. This fee is included in the adoption donation. Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary. Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your dog will help others in need. All known information about the animal is listed above. We do our best to give accurate information, but most of our dogs are rescues and do not come with a known history. Paws New England abides by the dog importation regulations set forth in the states of MA, CT, NH and RI.

    WANDA

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Borador
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Border Collie / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). You may call 919-772-2326 to speak to a counselor for more information prior to your visit. The SPCA has an adoption counseling process for adopters to learn adoption guidelines and adoption options. Hello! My name is Wanda, and I''m looking for my perfect family! I have had a couple of homes before, but I have not found one that is my best match yet. You see, I''m working on some manners and need a family who understands my rules. I can get along with other dogs, but I don''t like to share my food and toys with canine friends. Don''t worry -this is normal, but it is an easy rule to forget and will take some time for everyone in the home to get into our routine. I''m also working on the commands `drop` and `come` as I can be bossy when it comes to sharing my things with humans too. I am doing well with positive reinforcement training and plenty of exercise. I love long walks on the beach as well as quiet nights at home snuggled up by the fire. Or just going on any adventure. I''m looking for someone who is willing to explore the world with me! I''m a driven young lady who has been waiting for the right one to come along! I''m full grown at 76 lbs. ~My adoption fee is $95.00.~ Many adoptions will take approximately 1 hour or more. Adoption requirements and tips to speed up the adoption process: Please be able to provide a valid photo I.D. with your current address (If your I.D. does not reflect your current address, bring a piece of mail with your name and address on it) Be able to prove that you are allowed to have a pet where you live (proof of home ownership or a copy of your rental lease including the specific pet policy) Bring along all members of your household, including dogs for an introduction to a new dog. However, we do recommend meeting with an adoption counselor before involving children in the pet selection process. To avoid longer wait times, we strongly recommended that dog-to-dog meetings take place after 1:00pm. Participate in adoption counseling process to learn adoption guidelines and adoption options. Adoption Fees: Dogs & Puppies: $115.00 Cats & Kittens: $95.00 Rabbits: $50.00 Adoption fees include: Basic wellness exam, first vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, deworming and flea preventative. All cats and kittens have tested negative for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). All dogs and puppies have received heartworm preventative, and dogs/puppies over the age of six months have been tested for heartworms. All rabbits are spayed or neutered. Understand that the SPCA of Wake County reserves the right to deny an adoption. You may call 919-772-2326 to speak to a counselor for more information prior to your visit.
