Posted Breed: Brittany (long coat). Adoption Fee: $200. Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home. Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes? Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email. We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Timid and fearful, but curious, Button must have a confident canine BFF. Date into Rescue: 7/20/2017 Reason for being in rescue: Button lived on a farm in upstate SC the first part of her life. Her breeder asked us to find her a home where she could be a pampered pet. Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? grade 1 elbow dysplasia which does not affect her ability to get around. Button has some allergy issues and it shows in a green discharge in her eyes. We wipe her eyes out daily. She's been started on a grain free diet and Zyrtec to see if we can get the allergies under control but this may be a long term management issue. Weight: about 40 lbs Height: Est 21" at the shoulder Adoption Fee: $200 Fence needed? Yes absolutely without exception, a secure physical fence What kind of home would be best for me? Button MUST have a confident canine friend who will let Button be her best buddy. Button does not care if it's a boy or girl dog as long as it's one that will show her the way. She has cuddled equally well with multiple large dogs here as long as they will tolerate her being next to them. We're hoping one day she will want to snuggle with a human. Button's best home will be a patient and kind one who has experience with bringing shy dogs out of their shells. She has much potential but it is going to take someone special to find her unique personality. What is my personality like? Button is very curious about the world but very unsure of her spot in it. Her life before coming to our farm was simple and pleasant but unchanging. She has never been to Petsmart. She has only ridden in a car twice. She needs leash training. She is well crate trained. She needs life experience. How do I act when I first meet new people? Extremely timid and shy, she will run. A GPS tracker collar is highly recommended for the first 30 days. She is a project dog. More tips and tidbits: Button has a best friend here at the farm who she relys on heavily. Until recently they slept together in the same crate but we're starting to split them up at night to foster some independence in Button. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. My age: Birth date 5/24/2017 Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.

Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Are you looking for a big lap dog to love and be loved by? If so, Buddy is for you! Buddy is a 3-year-old male who spent his first 3 years confined to a kennel until he was surrendered to NBRAN. He loves his humans (especially his foster Dad) and he loves to run and play and enjoy his new-found freedom. He has a lot of energy but with daily exercise and yard time, he relaxes nicely in the house. He is crate trained, house broken and travels well in a crate or secured in the back seat. He is working on his manners as he was never taught anything the first 3 years of his life. He is super smart and loves the attention of working with his human to learn commands such as here, sit, paw, and heel. He is good with other dogs but it is not recommended that he be re-homed with an alpha male. He is a big, strong boy of 50 lbs. but thinks he is a 5 lb. puppy, so continued obedience training should be a priority. Buddy is being fostered in central Florida and can be transported up to 1,400 miles. He is fully vetted, UTD on vaccinations and neutered. Buddy's adoption fee is $375.00. For more information on Buddy, contact brittsnbits@gmail.com.

Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). If long and lean is your style then Tucker is your dog! We don't know what Tucker's background, but he is drop dead gorgeous. Tucker is a 2 year old boy with lots of energy. He needs strong boundaries and a firm but fair loving leader. Tucker lacks a bit of self confidence but he's willing to try anything just for praise! He has been living with two neutered male Brittanys and gets along fine with them. He doesn't bark much and sleeps nicely in his crate. His long legs mean a 6ft fence is a must. He has not been around children but may do well with older dog-savvy children. He has not been around cats, but suspect it is not a good mix. Frankly, Tucker is a lover. He wants to be with his human no matter where that is. He would make a great hiking or running companion and will be your very own couch potato. Tucker is a Velcro dog. He has to be by your side every minute of every day. He wants to touch and when you walk he walks along side and lovingly mouths your hand. He knows a few commands but can be impulsive. He’s learning to sit and wait. He definitely knows “no.” We believe he may have been mistreated. If you raise your voice he cringes. If he thinks you are angry at him he will follow you at a distance waiting to be forgiven. He’s learning that no one is angry at him here and he will not be hit. Sudden unexpected movements or sounds startle him, so a peaceful, patient home with Brittany experience is required. Tucker has it all style, energy and boundless love to give. He is a high energy boy. He needs to run, walk and work it off. He needs a job in order to be the best boy he can be! If this lifestyle sounds like you, then please fill out the application today. Tucker is healthy, UTD on all vaccinations, heart worm negative, (on preventative), neutered, and micro chipped. His adoption fee will be $375 to offset his vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members. Please complete the on-line application by visiting www.NBRAN.org. Tucker is eligible for our canine railroad and can be transported up to 1400 miles from Colorado/New Mexico at no additional charge. Once the application has been completed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator. A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.

    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Baby
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Brittany / Brittany (short coat). Introducing Dakota or as foster mom calls him Dak Dak goose. This 10 month old purebred liver and white puppy is simply amazing. He's curious, energetic, and all Brittany boy. Foster mom says he's just a silly goose. Dakota is our classic rescue, rehabilitation, re-home baby. He spent the first six months of his life living in an apartment. When Dakota came into rescue he had a horrible allergy around his eyes, on his neck, and the tip of his tail. Our vets believe poor nutrition, lack of exercise, and not experiencing the great outdoors led to this condition. The great news is he has gained weight, muscle tone, and 99% of the hair has grown back. Dakota will require a high quality, single protein source (nonchicken) grain free kibble for the rest of his life. His new family must be committed to this food. Dakota is your typical young Brittany boy. He loves to chew, he loves to play with toys and he loves his people. He is tender, yet inquisitive, will make you laugh, and fill your days with Brittany love. Dakota is looking for a home with a 6ft fenced yard. No more apartment life for him. He likes to vocalize, he always has something to say, and it is a high pitch squeak. This boy has the biggest play bow you have ever seen, so he must have a fur sibling to play and bond with. Dakota’s new family will need to be committed to future obedience training. He is super smart and needs to stay busy and focused or he will find his own things to keep himself busy. He loves to chew on antlers, chase balls, and at the end of the day is happy to be your snuggle buddy. If you have another Brittany for Dakota to play with, want an energetic, sweet natured boy, then please apply today. Dakota is healthy, UTD on all vaccinations, heart worm negative, (on preventative), neutered, and micro chipped. His adoption fee will be $400 to offset his vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members. Please complete the on-line application by visiting www.NBRAN.org. Dakota is eligible for our canine railroad and can be transported up to 1400 miles from Colorado at no additional charge. Once the application has been completed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator. A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.

This sweet pair of Brittanys are littermates and at 10 years old need to remain together. Stewie is a fun-loving liver and white boy who has always has a smile on his face, and Meg is an orange and white go-getter. This dynamic duo get along well with other dogs and are very playful. They have excellent house manners, if you include sleeping on the couch a normal part of a dog’s life. They are still very active and have typical brittany drives, so they will need a fenced yard to keep them safe. Stewie weighs in at about 50 lbs. and Meg a little smaller, about 40 lbs. They are content to be with each other but enjoy interaction with their people tremendously. Basically, they are very easy dogs. Meg and Stewie were owner-surrendered due to their owners moving to a new home that no longer included them, through no fault of the poor pups. If you are able and willing to give a loving home to these two Brittanys you are guaranteed good karma! Stewie is up to date on all his vaccinations, is spayed and microchipped. Stewie's adoption fee is $200.00 which helps NBRAN offset any vetting fees an allows NBRAN to help more of these wonderful pets. Meg and Stewie are also available through our Senior to Senior placement program for adopters 60 years and over at discounted fees. Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Bonjour my name is Lilly. I am a healthy 11-year-old purebred liver/white spayed female Senior Brittany, 38 pounds of love, with a puppy spirit. I do have a long tail. I am UTD on Vaccines, HW Neg and on HW Prevention. I am housebroken. I have a very friendly happy personality that you will adore. I am sad that my owners gave me away, but they felt I needed a bigger yard to play in. I have known nothing but love, so if you have a spot for a young Senior like me, I would be forever grateful. I will calmly greet you with my friendly brown eyes and wagging tail. I am very obedient and will only want to please you. I just want to be loved, curl up next to your feet and be close by you. I cannot be with cats or birds, because my natural instincts kick in, I just can’t help that. I was with a cat and bird and could never relax, I had to keep an eye on them at all times. Note from Foster Mom: She has the energy to keep up with a puppy, well trained and socialized with people, kids and dogs. She walks well on a leash, which is a huge bonus for this breed who tends to have a natural tendency to pull! She is a quiet house guest but, will alert you if a stranger approached. She is a grateful dog. She is a perfect young Senior. If you are interested in adopting me, please visit www.NBRAN.org to complete an adoption application. Contact Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net and/or Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com . for more information after you have filled out the application. The fee to adopt Lilly in Texas is $200 to offset her vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful pets. Transportation can be arranged up 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for the last 100 miles.

    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). "Soft and Curly" loving cuddle bug ready to meet his new family! Jamie(formerly Skippy) is a sweet, spunky older guy with the spirit of a pup. He is a laid-back fellow with tons of love to give and always wants to be with his person. A very gentle pup, Jamie is great around all people - including active seniors and kids - as well as dogs and cats. He has a high prey drive for wildlife so pets like rabbits may not be advisable. He enjoys the company of other dogs and is learning to enjoy playing with them and his humans. Being the older guy that he is, Jamie has some minor health issues but is in really great shape otherwise. Jamie will be best in a home with a fenced yard as he has a high level of energy and gets a little anxious without proper exercise - a walk or two a day likely would not satisfy his needs. He's quite the tall boy with a long and graceful stride...and he can go for hours! Alternatively, if Jamie had a human that took him everywhere with them it would keep him quite happy and tired - he's a perfect, polite riding buddy and loves accompanying for errands, and he's quite a persistent early riser so no late sleepers for this guy! For an unknown reason, Jamie is mostly oblivious to noise - footsteps, doors opening, talking, whistling, gun fire - including recall/commands (he'll generally respond to clapping), but he is not deaf. He is walking well on a leash and will likely continue to improve with a little patience. Overall, Jamie is a GREAT dog and will make an awesome companion! If you are interested in opening your heart and home for Jamie, please fill out an application @ http://www.nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application Jamie's adoption fee is $200. He can be transported to his forever home by the NBRAN canine railroad up to 1500 miles. Can I come home with you! Please contact Leslie Trenta @ leslie@leslietrentadesigns.com if you have questions.
