Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Adult L/W boy with BIG personality looking to be someone's Best Friend! If you are looking for a best friend, I am your dog! I am a 9 year old, liver and white, slightly chubby 70 Lb. male Brittany. I am neutered, up to date on my vaccinations, microchipped and recently had my teeth cleaned too! I was raised by my family since I was little, but then a new baby came home and they didn't have time for me. My new foster family has dogs and cats and they are OK, but being the only dog in my new home would be ideal so I can get all the the toys and attention. I am good with my commands, walking on a leash and riding in a car. But just sitting with you on the couch or by your feet is great too! I have a big personality and like to get my way, so if you have previous Brittany experience to keep me in line when I test the boundaries that would be good. I am a typical Brittany that likes to counter surf so you will need to put things up high where I can't reach them. Like with all Brittany's I am really curious about critters outside, so I will need a fenced yard to keep me safe. I would be a great hiking buddy but I don't like loud noises so hunting isn't an option for me. If you are interested in providing my forever home, please follow the following link to fill out an adoption application: https://www.nbran.org/adoptappl.asp. After submitting your application you can contact Gaye Bricker at BeauBritt2@aol.com to further discuss your interest. My adoption fee is $175.00 which allows NBRAN to help more of these wonderful pets. If you are 60 or over I qualify for our senior to senior adoption program and by adoption fee is reduced to $100.00. I am in Ohio now, but don't let distance stop you from adopting me as NBRAN has a wonderful group of volunteers who get me to my new home (within 1500 miles) as long as you are willing to drive the last 100 miles of my journey. How about it? Can I come and hang my hat in your home?

    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Meet Miss (lucky) Penny. She’s so sweet you can’t help but fall in love with her. Penny doesn’t know she’s 14! Yep, 14! She thinks she’s still a young dog. She loves to play with her foster sister, and looks forward to walks and car rides. Don't let this petite 27 pound girl fool you. She has an adventurous spirit. Penny will need the security of a fenced yard to run around in. She is friendly to other dogs and absolutely loves people. Penny has a great appetite and doesn’t notice that she is missing teeth and that the ones there are not that great. A bully stick is Penny’s favorite thing to chew; however, she gets excited about any snack that might come her way. Because Penny is slightly under weight, she will need to remain on a high quality, grain free kibble. She makes sure she never misses a meal. Penny’s hearing isn’t quite what it used to be but she doesn’t miss out on anything. She loves being part of a pack, but doesn’t seem to mind when left on her own as long as her soothing puppy music is playing in the background. She would be fine being an only dog if she gets lots of attention and is part of the family. Penny loves to spend her days lounging around. She just wants a home of her very own. She would be a perfect companion. Penny is healthy (passed a senior blood panel), UTD on all vaccinations, heart worm negative, (on preventative), spayed, and micro chipped. Her adoption fee will be $200 to offset her vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members. If you are interested in making Penny a part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.NBRAN.org, Adoption Center, Adoption Application. Once the application is complete, you will hear from your local area State Coordinator. T his process includes a detailed phone interview, a vet check, and a home visit. Penny is eligible for our wonderful Senior-to-Senior program. If you are a senior, age 60 or over, her adoption fee is $100.

    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Hi everyone my name is Kody but foster mom calls me Kody bug or Kody Bear. She said I'm just a little dude because I only weigh 35 pounds. My birth certificate says I'm 2. I'm so thankful to the great people at NBRAN. They rescued me from a not so great life where I lived in a barn. I'm ready for the next chapter of my journey of love. Since coming into foster care I have learned to eat my food out of a bowl, go potty outside, how to walk with a harness, what a kiss is, how to snuggle, and that not all people are bad. I've pretty much forgotten about my prior life, but there is just one thing that I'm having trouble with.. men. I'm trying so hard to be brave, and I've made progress, but foster mom thinks I would really love a home with a new a new mommy. In time I know I will be able to trust again but for right now I'm just so shy and unsure. Let me tell you about the things I LOVE. I love this round thing that goes with a stick. I think she called it a Chuck It. But don't ask me, because I can't read! I'm an excellent retriever and I love all the praise I get when I bring that round thing close to her feet. I get so excited that I jump in the air to catch the round thing. Foster mom calls me air Kody when we play. I love going for walks and hikes. I'm so brave I even got in some water. I love new adventures and I'm learning to adapt quickly. I don't mind sleeping in my crate, but I would love it if I could sleep next to you! I love having someone to play with. I'm really talkative when I play so my brother or sister needs to be ok with my vocals. I'm a little dude, but I have a big voice. I love being brushed, I love snacks, I love going for car rides, I love to run in the yard at top speed but most of all.. I love being LOVED! Those squirrels drive me crazy! They are NOT my favorite. Foster mom said my new yard must have a 6 foot fence because my jumping skills are as good as my retrieving skills. When you come home from work I will jump so high you could catch me. Unfortunately, I would knock a little human over so it's best if I'm just with grown ups. No cats or small animals either, they remind me too much of those pesky squirrels. Foster mom here. Kody is healthy, UTD on vaccinations, heartworm negative, neutered, and microchipped. Once he bonds with you, it will be an amazing relationship. He needs someone that is dedicated to exercise, enjoys playing ball, has a dog of similar age/size and has lots of patience. Experience with a shy or fearful dog would be a bonus. Because he is shy and unsure of men, his new family must be within Colorado or within a short driving distance. He will need to meet you and his new sibling(s). If Kody sounds like a perfect fit, please complete the on-line application at http://www.nbran.org/available.asp. Once the application has been completed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator. A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.

    SWEET

    rescue
    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Brittany (short coat). 5/14/2017 UPDATE: YOU GO SWEET!!! She is feeling much better. Doing what Brittanies do best...following her nose. The new meds seem to be helping. She will never be able to run "full-throttle" but this little bit of exercise seems to be Ok. Is there anyone out there who would consider adopting this beautiful sweet girl? She deserves a home & family that will give her the love, attention & care she needs. For more information contact Wilma's Orphans. 4/23/2017 UPDATE: Sweet has been doing very well considering she is on restricted activity. Unfortunately this means she has to be an only dog. I do allow her out in the yard where she runs around for a short period of time. Then it's back in her crate to rest. She spends quite a large amount of time on the couch chilling. As far as her medications 2 are available from Rite Aid under their discount program under $20 a month. Still working on finding the best price for the third med. She will be on these meds for the rest of her life. So I realize that this is a large responsibility but Sweet is such a wonderful girl she deserves a chance at the most normal life available. Hoping there is someone out there who is willing to give her that chance. UPDATE: Sweet has been home for 5 days and is doing very well. She is confined for another week, No strenuous activity or stress of any kind. Hoping that when we go back to the vet on the 17th her meds will be reduced and she can go back to moderate activities. If you are interested in adopting Sweet please keep in mind that she will be on heart meds for the rest of her life. Also her activities will have to be curtailed. This is an UPDATE about SWEET. It has been discovered that Sweet has an enlarged heart, heart murmur, fluid in her chest, and has been at the vet's since thursday, 3/30. She seemed to be improving but there has been another problem. It appears she also has lung damage and cannot be stressed in any way which even includes riding home in the car. She will be staying another couple of days to see if the coughing, which indicates the lung problem, subsides. Just don't know what's going to happen...PAWS CROSSED!!!!! Anyone interested in donating for her vet care go to https://www.gofundme.com/help-cover-sweets-vet-bills. SWEET is a 5 yo, 32 lb, Brittany Spaniel, who absolutely lives up to her name. She was used as a breeding dog probably her whole life. A wonderful rescue took her from the horrible conditions in which she had been living. Due to those conditions she was heart worm positive and had to be treated and then was required to be held in confinement for 6 weeks. She has been wonderful, so patient while waiting to be let free. WELL the time has come...as you can see in the video she is having a great time in the backyard with the rest of the pack. SWEET will do well with another non-dominant dog. She gets along with both male and female. Is crate trained, housebroken, needs a fenced in backyard where she can get lots of exercise. SWEET deserves a happy, well-cared for, loving family to make up for her sad beginnings. There is an adoption process consisting of an application, home visit, contract and adoption fee. Wilma's Orphans is a 501c3 Not for Profit rescue organization. Any and all donations are tax deductible. If you are interested in this dog go to www.wilmasorphans.com for the link to the adoption application.

    MI/Deuce

    rescue
    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Deuce is not wild unlike in cards. He is a 10 year old liver and white Brittany with a cute face and a chubby build. Deuce has had a pretty hard time in life and now it's time to find him that special family so he can finally feel safe and loved. He has been previously adopted from a shelter and then returned because he does suffer from anxiety which is currently under control with a daily medication. He responds well to reassurance, wants to be a lap dog, hates to be separated by any door, so with this guy a crate is not an option. It is recommended that he go to home as an only dog since he has shown some aggression to other male dogs. So if Deuce could pick out his perfect home, here's what he'd like. Someone who is home most of the time, be an only pet, someone who will work with him to help him FINALLY feel safe and loved, and of course someone who thinks he's the most special loving dog in the world. He is neutered, micro chipped and up to date on all vaccinations. Deuce is currently in foster care in Michigan. His adoption fee is $200.00 if you are 60 years or older, he does qualify for the $100 senior to senior adoption fee. He can be transported up to 1200 miles, with the adopter driving the last 100 miles of his journey. NBRAN does require a home visit and vet check. If you are interested in Deuce, please go to nbran.org and complete an online application. The coordinator in your state will contact you. The Michigan Coordinator handling the adoption for Deuce is Joanne Denomme. Please contact her if you have any additional questions at jojodenomme@gmail.com

Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). This Very Handsome Liver and White boy is looking for his new forever home! I am a good boy. My name is Thomas, but my Mom calls me Tommy. NBRAN saved me, flea and tick ridden and with some small bite wounds, from a shelter. I am a senior boy (8-10 years old) with age related health issues including some lumps and bumps, arthritis, and hip dysplasia. I also have some chronic breathing issues. I was 10 lbs. overweight when rescued, but now I’m a good weight at about 50 lbs. My health issues have improved with weight loss, exercise, medical care, and good food, but a home without stairs is optimal. They say I am very “soft” because I get scared at loud noises or lots of commotion. I try to leave when I am uncomfortable. I get a little scared in new situations, but I adjust quickly. I am a good boy. They say I’m a very sweet, handsome boy. My tail wags a lot. I like people and other dogs, but NO CATS. I love to chew (my teeth are nubs) and need to have appropriate chew toys or I will find something inappropriate to chew. I love to explore the backyard with my foster sister, dig for “critters,” and chase squirrels. I will need a fenced yard at my new home to keep me safe as I chase little critters! Life is good at my foster home and I am a happy boy, but I would love a “forever” home of my own . I am a good boy. My adoption fee is $200.00 which allows NBRAN to help more of these wonderful pets. If you are interested in taking me into your home, please fill out an adoption application at the following link: https://www.nbran.org/adoptappl.asp . After filing out the adoption application you can contact Gaye Bricker a BeauBritt2@aol.com to discuss your interest in adopting me. NBRAN has team of awesome volunteers that will help in transporting me up to 1400 miles to my new home! How about it... Am I your guy? I'd love to have have a forever home of my own. I am a good boy!

    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). This handsome boy is Calvin. He is approximately 9 years old. With that alert look and sparkle in his eye, would you believe he is blind? Most people that meet him for the first time don't even recognize that he is blind because Calvin's blindness doesn't stop him from enjoying life. Calvin was surrendered by his family after he went blind and they were not prepared to cope with a blind dog. His blindness was most likely the result of SARDS (Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration Syndrome) a disease in dogs causing sudden blindness. But poor Calvin was also dealt another bad card that his previous owner probably did not address or recognize. He also has a condition called Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) which is the inability to properly digest food due to a lack of digestive enzymes made by the pancreas. He was very thin and basically starving to death when he arrived in Arizona. Now with a special enzyme mixed in his food twice a day, he is thriving and almost getting FAT! This enzyme is ordered from an on-line company and reasonably priced. Calvin is one special boy and deserves someone that recognizes just how special is really is. He is very loving, likes belly rubs and enjoys sitting in "his" chair on the front porch "watching" the neighborhood. If you would like to know more about Calvin or may be interested in adopting him, please contact Robin at britrescueaz@cox.net. Our adoption process includes an application, interview, home visit and vet check. His adoption donation is $200. Any person aged 60 years or over may adopt a senior dog (8 yrs or older) for $100. Calvin's not the dog for you? That's OK, we understand. But you can still help give him a great life. Contributions for Calvin's care can be made via our website www.nbran.org. Please designate that your donation is specifically for AZ-Calvin.
