    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: Houston, TX
Posted Breed: Brittany / Labrador Retriever. **Sadie is currently being fostered in HOUSTON. She is available for out-of-state adoption as well to the perfect family. Her tax-deductible adoption fee is $495 for non-local adopters, which covers transport to her new family, a travel kennel, and health certificate. She is fully vetted, spayed and microchipped.** Sadie here, just checking in to see if you are my new forever home?? I had a home for about 3 years and then my dad had to move and couldn?t take me with him. I ended up on death row at the county shelter and did not like it there at all. I was used to being in the house, hanging out with my family, and then all of the sudden stuck on a cold concrete floor in a chain link kennel. It was horrible. Thank goodness Joyrides Rescue came along and saw what a precious lady I was!!!! I am now safe and living in a great foster home. I am living with several foster siblings and love them all. One of my new best friends is the family cat. We love to lay on the bed together and nap!! I have great house manners because I am crate and house trained. I also hang out on the floor and like to be around my foster mom. I lean in for pets when I get a chance. I walk well on a leash and love to ride in the car too. I seem to have gotten my curvaceous figure by eating a few too many treats, but that will change in no time with a few walks! The good part about me liking treats is I will do almost anything to have one!! If you would like to schedule an appointment with me to possibly be my new family, email info@joyrides.org. Age: 3 years old Weight: 72 current, should be around 55 pounds Dogs? Yes, love them Kids? yes Cats? Love Them

Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Sweet and Quiet "Bed Bug" seeking her own forever family! Hi my name is Faith. NBRAN rescued me from a shelter. I am a quiet girl (have only barked once since being with my foster family), approximately 8 yrs old, 40 lbs and a little tall and lanky for a female Brittany. I was kind of skinny when I first came to my foster home but my foster mom has been feeding me well and I am a healthy weight and feel really good! I love being with my foster mom and dad and miss them when they go to work but enjoy getting to sleep curled up next to them in bed at night or when they are sick. My foster dad calls me bed bug. I stay in the kennel when they are not home but have the run of the house when they are home. When I came to my foster family's house I was not potty trained and had no manners. I picked up on the potty training pretty quickly and am good with that now. I've made some progress on the manners but still a "work in progress" when it comes to manners, but I'm trying really hard. I get along great and enjoy playing with my 4 Brittany foster sisters and am ok with my 2 feline foster sisters too, although I do like to stalk them. I love to explore with my foster sisters and will need a fenced in back yard. I sometimes get a little anxious when my foster mom and dad leave so I may enjoy having a canine brother or sister in my new home. When I first came into my foster home I had a carcinoma on one of my nipples so I had to have that and a portion of my mamary chain removed and a small hernia repaired to keep me healthy. The doctors say they have gotten it all and I haven't had any additional problems so I am ready to find my new family now! I’ve had all my shots, am heart worm negative, and on Trifexis once a month. I also have been microchipped. If you would consider having me become a member of your family, please go to the following link and fill out an adoption application: https://www.nbran.org/adoptappl.asp . After filing out the application, you can contact Gaye Bricker at BeauBritt2@aol.com to further discuss your interest in taking me into your family. My adoption fee is $200.00 which helps to offset my vetting fees and allows NBRAN to help more of these wonderful pets. I am located in Ohio, but don't worry if you are not real close to me, NBRAN has a team of volunteers who will assist in my transport up to 1500 miles if you are willing to drive the last 100 miles of my journey. Please consider giving me the forever home I deserve!

Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Meet Miss (lucky) Penny. She’s so sweet you can’t help but fall in love with her. Penny doesn’t know she’s thirteen. She thinks she’s still a young dog. She loves to play with her foster sister, and looks forward to walks and car rides. Don't let this petite 27 pound girl fool you. She has an adventurous spirit so she will escape if she is not watched carefully. Penny will need the security of a fenced yard to run around in. She is friendly to other dogs and absolutely loves people. Penny has a great appetite and doesn’t notice that she is missing teeth and that the ones there are not that great. A bully stick is Penny’s favorite thing to chew; however, she gets excited about any snack that might come her way. Because Penny is slightly under weight, she will need to remain on a high quality, grain free kibble. She makes sure she never misses a meal. Penny’s hearing isn’t quite what it used to be but she doesn’t miss out on anything. She loves being part of a pack, but doesn’t seem to mind when left on her own as long as her soothing puppy music is playing in the background. She would be fine being an only dog if she gets lots of attention and is part of the family. Penny is healthy (passed a senior blood panel), UTD on all vaccinations, heart worm negative, (on preventative), spayed, and micro chipped. Her adoption fee will be $200 to offset her vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members. If you are interested in making Penny a part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.NBRAN.org, Adoption Center, Adoption Application. Once the application is complete, you will hear from your local area State Coordinator. T his process includes a detailed phone interview, a vet check, and a home visit. Penny is eligible for our wonderful Senior-to-Senior program. If you are a senior, age 60 or over, her adoption fee is $100.

Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). This Very Handsome Liver and White boy is looking for his new forever home! I am a good boy. My name is Thomas, but my Mom calls me Tommy. NBRAN saved me, flea and tick ridden and with some small bite wounds, from a shelter. I am a senior boy (8-10 years old) with age related health issues including some lumps and bumps, arthritis, and hip dysplasia. I also have some chronic breathing issues. I was 10 lbs. overweight when rescued, but now I’m a good weight at about 50 lbs. My health issues have improved with weight loss, exercise, medical care, and good food, but a home without stairs is optimal. They say I am very “soft” because I get scared at loud noises or lots of commotion. I try to leave when I am uncomfortable. I get a little scared in new situations, but I adjust quickly. I am a good boy. They say I’m a very sweet, handsome boy. My tail wags a lot. I like people and other dogs, but NO CATS. I love to chew (my teeth are nubs) and need to have appropriate chew toys or I will find something inappropriate to chew. I love to explore the backyard with my foster sister, dig for “critters,” and chase squirrels. I will need a fenced yard at my new home to keep me safe as I chase little critters! Life is good at my foster home and I am a happy boy, but I would love a “forever” home of my own . I am a good boy. My adoption fee is $200.00 which allows NBRAN to help more of these wonderful pets. If you are interested in taking me into your home, please fill out an adoption application at the following link: https://www.nbran.org/adoptappl.asp . After filing out the adoption application you can contact Gaye Bricker a BeauBritt2@aol.com to discuss your interest in adopting me. NBRAN has team of awesome volunteers that will help in transporting me up to 1400 miles to my new home! How about it... Am I your guy? I'd love to have have a forever home of my own. I am a good boy!

Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Hello, folks I’m Riley!! I am one handsome orange and white 8 year old. Just look at me, aren’t I a handsome guy? I’ve been in foster care now for a while and I’m ready to move forward with my forever family. I especially hope that my new home will have me as their only dog and can give me all the attention that I deserve. I love treats and take them very gentle. I love to be snuggle and have a blanket on me. I love just to be with you and lay my head in your lap. So, let me tell ya a little bit about myself. First, I’m am housebroken and have very few, if any accidents! (I am able to go for 8 hours, but would like to go out more, if possible.) I love all the praise that I receive when using the restroom properly. Secondly, I’m a curious guy and love to hunt in the house so please close and secure cabinet doors and drawers especially in the kitchen where I’ll find a yummy treat!! Also, I need a fence that is at least 4’ . Hey, can you teach me about stairs? They are weird to me as I’ve not had much experience climbing them and want to learn. Oh, and if you must crate me I’m learning that too. I love being w/ my owner/s and will follow them everywhere. If you work from home, can come home for lunch or are retired I’m your guy!! You would be my perfect forever home. Oh, and I hope you don’t mind as I might sleep in the bed with you too, but my bed is great if you don’t. Foster Mom says I am enormously gentle and sweet with my two-legged Foster Siblings. The vet I see currently thinks my health is decent. So, come on what are you waiting for? Please complete an application and mention Riley! I promise you won’t regret it. Peace and Lots of love, Riley A Note from NBRAN and Foster Mom: Riley has Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency. EPI. That's his only diagnosis and it has become non-problematic. You take one enzyme tab, crush it, then let it sit in warm water for 15 minutes and then pour it on his food. Then he can eat it about five minutes. No problem. If someone reads about EPI they could get scared off but he has truly settled in and we have a routine and it is causing no problems. (When he took double the amount of enzyme, it was a problem because he was in a desperate panicked search for water then had a few accidents peeing in house. One tab and the thirst is manageable.) The EPI also needs the B12 injections and I believe they're $10-15. Monthly. Pancre Plus Tabs 500 is $80 and last 250 days, which lasts longer than 8 months. He sleeps in a crate nightly - no crying or barking. He is crated while we are not home. Does not pee or poop in crate. Needs a big one though - he does seem to freeze at times when putting in but usually quickly collapses on his many pillows and blankets. If you are interested in adopting me, please visit www.nbran.org to complete an adoption application on me. Contact either Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net or Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com , for more information after you have filled out the application. The fee to adopt Riley in Kansas is $200 to offset part of his vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful pets. Transportation can be arranged up to 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for the last 100 miles.

Bailey is an 9yr old orange and white girl who was born 2/9/2008.She is an owner surrender. She is a very sweet, affectionate girl who needs to lose a few pounds. She is good with other dogs and older children. Bailey does best wearing a harness to walk her on as she is reluctant to leash walk She runs out with the other dogs to do her business and comes back to the door barking when she is finished. She will require a fenced yard. Bailey was spayed on March 22, 2016 and had a mammary tumor removed It was a Grade 1 malignancy with clean margins. She is UTD on vaccines and is HW negative. Bailey does well in the house. She can be a little devilish sometimes and steal something off the counter.. She also likes to get into the trash so it has to be put up. Posted Breed: Brittany. This handsome man is 12 years young! Can you believe that? Doesn't he looks awesome? It was unfortunate that Kyle's human fell on hard times having to move and unable to take Kyle. Kyle's person found him as a stray in Texas many years ago when he was just a pup. He has lived with him all this time. It was a very difficult decision to ask for our help and let Kyle go. Kyle had a thick coat when he arrived in Arizona but we referred him to a barber to give him a nice Arizona summer cut. He's liking his new cooler "do". His new look shows off his beautiful long tail and cute freckles. Not having a lot of interaction with other dogs, Kyle had a little trouble adjusting to a houseful of dogs. But he is doing better every day. He would probably do best as an only dog or maybe with one easy going female dog. He is NOT good with cats. Kyle is very loving to people and would make someone a wonderful companion. Kyle was recently altered and had a full blood panel completed. He tested negative for heartworm, tick and lyme disease. He shows no sign of arthritis or hip issues. He really is amazing for his age. Kyle qualifies for a senior to senior adoption if you are over age 60. His adoption donation would just be $100. If you are not 60 or over, Kyle's donation would be $200. We also have foster to adopt programs. If you would like more information on Kyle, contact Robin at britrescueaz@cox.net or call after 4 pm to 602-501-1844.

    Location: Curwensville, PA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). This handsome boy is Calvin. He is approximately 9 years old. With that alert look and sparkle in his eye, would you believe he is blind? Most people that meet him for the first time don't even recognize that he is blind because Calvin's blindness doesn't stop him from enjoying life. Calvin was surrendered by his family after he went blind and they were not prepared to cope with a blind dog. His blindness was most likely the result of SARDS (Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration Syndrome) a disease in dogs causing sudden blindness. But poor Calvin was also dealt another bad card that his previous owner probably did not address or recognize. He also has a condition called Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) which is the inability to properly digest food due to a lack of digestive enzymes made by the pancreas. He was very thin and basically starving to death when he arrived in Arizona. Now with a special enzyme mixed in his food twice a day, he is thriving and almost getting FAT! This enzyme is ordered from an on-line company and reasonably priced. Calvin is one special boy and deserves someone that recognizes just how special is really is. He is very loving, likes belly rubs and enjoys sitting in "his" chair on the front porch "watching" the neighborhood. If you would like to know more about Calvin or may be interested in adopting him, please contact Robin at britrescueaz@cox.net. Our adoption process includes an application, interview, home visit and vet check. His adoption donation is $200. Any person aged 60 years or over may adopt a senior dog (8 yrs or older) for $100. Calvin's not the dog for you? That's OK, we understand. But you can still help give him a great life. Contributions for Calvin's care can be made via our website www.nbran.org. Please designate that your donation is specifically for AZ-Calvin.
