    rescue
    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Brittany (short coat). Libby and Molly a bonded, inseparable pair from birth. These two little girls weigh in at 28lbs and 30lbs respectively. They are the proverbial two peas in a pod. You’ll get double everything, especially loyalty, love and kisses from these nine year old ladies that are still puppies at heart. They’re well mannered, well behaved, and loads of fun and energy. They would thrive best in a home with secure fencing to run, play, and chase critters as well as each other. They are good with other dogs. They are used to having lots of area to run, so apartment and condo living will not work for these active gals. Also, these girls are VERY vocal. They have lots to say. These sweet faces are house broken and they know how to use a pet door while their foster parents are home. They are crate trained but it’s been optional for them. Molly and Libby love to play with their stuffed toys and both love to ride in the car. They have some thunder storm anxiety and at that time they will want to be close to you for comfort until the storm passes. So if you love the happy wag of one stubby Brittany tail, then consider taking these two happy, happy, happy girls into your home! You will have a double dose of Brittany love and a double dose of stubby wags! The girls are healthy, UTD on all vaccinations, heart worm negative, (on preventative), spayed, and micro chipped. Their adoption fee will be $400 combined to offset their vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members. These girls MUST be adopted together. Only 1 application is necessary for both girls. Please complete the on-line application by visiting www.nbran.org. The girls are eligible for our canine railroad. They can be transported up to 1400 miles from Colorado at the discretion of the State Coordinator. Once the application has been completed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator. A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.

    CO/Remi

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). UPDATE/TRAINER REPORT: Remi has lot of potential. For the right person who is willing to keep him busy, he is capable of anything. During our short time with him, we found that he is extremely eager to learn new things and didn't want the training session to end. He is quite smart and picks up new tasks quickly and easily. With training and practice, he will be a great companion. Remi is a handsome, freckle face, 4 ½ year old orange and white cutie pie. He is a sweet, loyal boy that needs a second chance. Remi has been recovering in foster care for the last 4 months. We have finally turned the corner on his medical situation and he is ready for his forever! Remi came to NBRAN as an owner surrender. He was suffering from a severe antibiotic resistant skin infection, pain, a horrible stomach rash, poor socialization, and lack of training. This sweet soul needed NBRAN so badly. Now he needs his very own forever home that will never allow these struggles again. Remi needs a forever guardian angel. Remi is selective when interacting with dogs because he is insecure. This insecurity stems from lack of socialization and lack of firm but fair training. Good news, a professional trainer is working with Remi to boost his self confidence and to teach Remi how to meet and be with dogs that are new to him. Remi truly needs a home that is patient and has a good understanding of dogs and dog behavior. His perfect home would be an only dog home with someone that is Brittany experienced, works from home, semi retired, or retired. He has done very well with his Border Collie foster brother that is extremely mellow, trustworthy, and non alpha. So, there is hope that with time and patience, Remi can and will have more furry friends. Remi is not "Mr. Social" nor a good candidate for the dog park, he's what you call a "homebody". He is however, very loving to all people and super cuddly. Truly a sweet, sweet soul. This boy is such a goof ball and will make you laugh on a daily basis. Remi’s new home must have a 6 ft fence, no cats, and if there are children, they must be at least 10 years old and dog experienced. He absolutely loves the children at his current foster home. He is gentle and trustworthy with them. Remi is going to thrive in a home where he has freedom from a crate, provided clear structure, and receives positive reinforcement with future obedience training. Now that his physical wounds have healed and he actually feels good, he is learning to play and enjoy life. He has so much love to give and wants to, he just needs a family that will give him a chance to become the awesome boy his foster family knows. His favorite toy is a pepperoni pizza stuffy. His love for this special toy has earned him the nick name Remi Roni, the pizza boy. If you are looking for a loyal, goofy, cuddle buddy, then look no further. Remi is healthy, UTD on all vaccinations, heart worm negative, (on preventative), neutered, and micro chipped. His adoption fee will be $375 to offset his vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members. Please complete the on-line application by visiting www.nbran.org. Once the application has been completed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator. A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.

    CO/Doc Holid...

    rescue
    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Hey everyone! Doc Holiday here! He is a 4 year old liver and white purebred weighing in at 38 pounds. His coat is silky and shiny. Doc is as handsome as the day is long. He is friendly with new people and gets along well with his foster brother and sister. Doc LOVES to be outside patrolling for birds and squirrels. If he could have a pond or waterfront property, he would be in doggy heaven. He is very fond of the water and is an excellent swimmer. He enjoys coming inside for love and attention, and is highly motivated by praise. Besides patrolling for birds and squirrels, he plays fetch with tennis balls and will retrieve his favorite Wubba toy. Doc is very nimble and agile, therefore he needs a home with a 6 ft privacy fence. Doc is a very strong young man. He was exposed to children at his prior home, and will do best with kids 10 and over. Doc needs a large yard where he can play, patrol, and explore safely. Because of Doc's strong prey drive, there can be NO CATS or small animals at his forever home. Doc is an all around great boy. He is housebroken, rides like a gentleman in the car, and has been crated for very short periods of time without any issues. If you live an active lifestyle, have a secure fenced yard, and no cats, then please apply today. Doc Holiday is healthy, UTD on all vaccinations, heart worm negative, (on preventative), neutered, and micro chipped. His adoption fee will be $375 to offset his vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members. Please complete the on-line application by visiting www.nbran.org. Doc is eligible for our canine railroad and can be transported up to 1400 miles from Colorado at no additional charge. Once the application has been completed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator. A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.

    TX/Stoli

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Stoli is an orange and white 8 year old male Brittany. He weighs approximately 40 lb. He has all up-to-date shots, HW neg and takes heartworm and flea prevention medications. He has been neutered and also has a chip. Stoli is currently being fostered and is looking for a permanent home. He is a very well dispositioned dog that bonds easily with humans. He is great with children and other dogs. He sleeps through the night and is house-broken. He lets you know when he needs to go out. He likes to eat but doesn’t hang around looking for scraps from the dining table. He answers to basic commands such as “sit”, “shake” “stay” “heel” and “roll over”. He does great on the leash and LOVES to ride in the car! Although Stoli is middle aged, he has the pep and energy of a much younger dog. He loves to chase birds, squirrels, chipmunks, geckos and other small critters. Stoli likes to explore his surroundings and needs room to roam. He likes to find ways to get out so he would benefit from a well enclosed larger yard with a good sturdy fence. All of this is very typical of their breed since they are used to flushing out birds. He does not take well to being kenneled or confined to a small room. He loves his bed and would like to share yours too! He is a beautiful delightful “people pleaser”! If you are looking for friendly, relatively low maintenance dog, look no further than Stoli! If you are interested in adopting me, please visit www.NBRAN.org to complete an adoption application. Contact Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net and/or Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com . for more information after you have filled out the application. The fee to adopt Stoli in Texas is $200 to offset his vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful pets. Transportation can be arranged up 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for the last 100 miles.

I am a 3-year old sweetie and am loving this new life I’m learning about every day. I enjoy being around people, snuggling, and being pet. I just love attention, even from smaller people called kids. I need to be reminded not to jump up though, as I get so excited to see everyone! I’ll quickly respond to a hand signal though. I am proving to be one smart girl! I am already house/crate trained and know to bark to ask if I can go outside to go to the bathroom! It works, too! I haven’t started walking on a leash yet, but I am content to be outside in a fenced in yard for now. One thing at a time, right!? I really like other dogs and am trying to learn that they won't take my food. I eat in my kennel away from other pups and growl when they walk by. I’m trying hard to work on this little habit. It's just that the food is so good and I want to eat it all! I will bark in my kennel and when I’m outside and want to come back inside. Hey – I’m just letting you know what I want! Like I said before, it works for asking to go outside for potty time. I've had a rough past and can be cautions around adult men. They sometimes are bigger and sound different. I know I need to get used to them and I'm hoping with time and patience in my foster home, I will adjust and grow to love them! I’m just a sweet girl who will make a wonderful companion dog. Do you want to spend your days with me? ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** ADOPTION EVENTS: Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/ Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN. All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets. All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet. All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. She is small for a female and weighs 32 pounds. Although she was an outside dog, she has adapted nicely to her foster home environment and her 2 foster Britt brothers. Lucy is house trained, knows basic commands, is crate trained and walks well on a leash. In fact, Lucy is one of the sweetest fosters I have EVER had! She gives soft kisses and flips on her belly for tummy rubs. Because Lucy was an outside dog, she needs a secure fenced in yard to run around in and wants to be outside ALL the time. She has a strong prey drive, but is cat friendly according to her previous owners. Lucy is up to date on vaccines and is microchipped. If you think your home would be complete with Lucy please fill out an application at the following link: https://www.nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application. If you would like to further discuss your interest in Lucy you can contact Gaye Bricker at BeauBritt2@aol.com after submitting your application. Lucy's adoption fee is $200.00 which helps to offset her vetting expenses and allows NBRAN to help more of these wonderful pets. Transportation can be arranged for up to 1500 miles with Lucy's new family driving the last 100 miles of her journey.
