Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Meet Miss (lucky) Penny. She’s so sweet you can’t help but fall in love with her. Penny doesn’t know she’s thirteen. She thinks she’s still a young dog. She loves to play with her foster sister, and looks forward to walks and car rides. Don't let this petite 27 pound girl fool you. She has an adventurous spirit so she will escape if she is not watched carefully. Penny will need the security of a fenced yard to run around in. She is friendly to other dogs and absolutely loves people. Penny has a great appetite and doesn’t notice that she is missing teeth and that the ones there are not that great. A bully stick is Penny’s favorite thing to chew; however, she gets excited about any snack that might come her way. Because Penny is slightly under weight, she will need to remain on a high quality, grain free kibble. She makes sure she never misses a meal. Penny’s hearing isn’t quite what it used to be but she doesn’t miss out on anything. She loves being part of a pack, but doesn’t seem to mind when left on her own as long as her soothing puppy music is playing in the background. She would be fine being an only dog if she gets lots of attention and is part of the family. Penny is healthy (passed a senior blood panel), UTD on all vaccinations, heart worm negative, (on preventative), spayed, and micro chipped. Her adoption fee will be $200 to offset her vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members. If you are interested in making Penny a part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.NBRAN.org, Adoption Center, Adoption Application. Once the application is complete, you will hear from your local area State Coordinator. T his process includes a detailed phone interview, a vet check, and a home visit. Penny is eligible for our wonderful Senior-to-Senior program. If you are a senior, age 60 or over, her adoption fee is $100.

Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Hello, folks I’m Riley!! I am one handsome orange and white 8 year old. Just look at me, aren’t I a handsome guy? I’ve been in foster care now for a while and I’m ready to move forward with my forever family. I especially hope that my new home will have me as their only dog and can give me all the attention that I deserve. I love treats and take them very gentle. I love to be snuggle and have a blanket on me. I love just to be with you and lay my head in your lap. So, let me tell ya a little bit about myself. First, I’m am housebroken and have very few, if any accidents! (I am able to go for 8 hours, but would like to go out more, if possible.) I love all the praise that I receive when using the restroom properly. Secondly, I’m a curious guy and love to hunt in the house so please close and secure cabinet doors and drawers especially in the kitchen where I’ll find a yummy treat!! Also, I need a fence that is at least 4’ . Hey, can you teach me about stairs? They are weird to me as I’ve not had much experience climbing them and want to learn. Oh, and if you must crate me I’m learning that too. I love being w/ my owner/s and will follow them everywhere. If you work from home, can come home for lunch or are retired I’m your guy!! You would be my perfect forever home. Oh, and I hope you don’t mind as I might sleep in the bed with you too, but my bed is great if you don’t. Foster Mom says I am enormously gentle and sweet with my two-legged Foster Siblings. The vet I see currently thinks my health is decent. So, come on what are you waiting for? Please complete an application and mention Riley! I promise you won’t regret it. Peace and Lots of love, Riley A Note from NBRAN and Foster Mom: Riley has Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency. EPI. That's his only diagnosis and it has become non-problematic. You take one enzyme tab, crush it, then let it sit in warm water for 15 minutes and then pour it on his food. Then he can eat it about five minutes. No problem. If someone reads about EPI they could get scared off but he has truly settled in and we have a routine and it is causing no problems. (When he took double the amount of enzyme, it was a problem because he was in a desperate panicked search for water then had a few accidents peeing in house. One tab and the thirst is manageable.) The EPI also needs the B12 injections and I believe they're $10-15. Monthly. Pancre Plus Tabs 500 is $80 and last 250 days, which lasts longer than 8 months. He sleeps in a crate nightly - no crying or barking. He is crated while we are not home. Does not pee or poop in crate. Needs a big one though - he does seem to freeze at times when putting in but usually quickly collapses on his many pillows and blankets. If you are interested in adopting me, please visit www.nbran.org to complete an adoption application on me. Contact either Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net or Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com , for more information after you have filled out the application. The fee to adopt Riley in Kansas is $200 to offset part of his vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful pets. Transportation can be arranged up to 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for the last 100 miles.

Maddie has a fetish for shoes so they have to be put up where she cant get them. She loves running around and exploring the fenced yard and does not try to escape Maddie is crate trained and will often go into the open crate to lie down. She likes to be petted and loved on. She is shy but will seek her humans out. She is UTD on vaccines, HW negative and has been wormed. Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Senior
    Location: Curwensville, PA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). I am a good boy. My name is Thomas, but my Mom calls me Tommy. NBRAN saved me, flea and tick ridden and with some small bite wounds, from a shelter. I am a senior boy (8-10 years old) with age related health issues including some lumps and bumps, arthritis, and hip dysplasia. I also have some chronic breathing issues. I was 10 lbs. overweight when rescued, but now I’m a good weight at about 50 lbs. My health issues have improved with weight loss, exercise, medical care, and good food, but a home without stairs is optimal. They say I am very “soft” because I get scared at loud noises or lots of commotion. I try to leave when I am uncomfortable. I get a little scared in new situations, but I adjust quickly. I am a good boy. They say I’m a very sweet, handsome boy. My tail wags a lot. I like people and other dogs, but NO CATS. I love to chew (my teeth are nubs) and need to have appropriate chew toys or I will find something inappropriate to chew. I love to explore the backyard with my foster sister, dig for “critters,” and chase squirrels. I will need a fenced yard at my new home to keep me safe as I chase little critters! Life is good at my foster home and I am a happy boy, but I would love a “forever” home of my own . I am a good boy. My adoption fee is $200.00 which allows NBRAN to help more of these wonderful pets. If you are interested in taking me into your home, please fill out an adoption application at the following link: https://www.nbran.org/adoptappl.asp . After filing out the adoption application you can contact Gaye Bricker a BeauBritt2@aol.com to discuss your interest in adopting me. NBRAN has team of awesome volunteers that will help in transporting me up to 1400 miles to my new home! How about it... Am I your guy? I'd love to have have a forever home of my own. I am a good boy!

    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Male Male
    Location: Denver, CO
Posted Breed: Brittany / Hound. THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING, PLEASE CONTACT NBRAN.org TO LEARN MORE ABOUT JOEY <3 From The Diary of Jo Jo Bear….My life has been a hard one. Born somewhere in the great state of Texas, I spent most of my days roaming around. One day, I was just trying to get from one lawn to another when a humongous metal monster attacked me. They later told me a car hit me. This scary thing left me bruised, scratched, bloodied and weak. It even knocked out some of my teef. I wouldn’t know it for a long time but that beast had dislocated my hip. While I was trying to recover from my unfortunate incident, I got sick because of those darn skeeters! They infected me with something called heartworm. I didn’t really know why, but found it hard to breath and run. Then one day a kind human found me and contacted NBRAN. They took me from Texas and drove me to Colorado. That was a long trip. My tummy hurt and I felt nauseous. As soon as I arrived, my new foster family helped me get surgery to fix my leg, oh wow that hurt! I had to go back to see Dr. Nelson and he gave me shots in my back. This was some medicine that killed those horrible heartworms. That was the worst! My back hurt so bad! I had a tough time, but that was then, and this is NOW! Today, I’m very happy, sweet, and just the best boy in the world. Dr. Nelson said I’m ready for my forever family! I sure do love Colorado and the humans at NBRAN. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings….” Joey, or Joe, or Jo Jo Bear, is a 4 year old, well-behaved, cuddly bear of a dog. He is a Britt-Hound. Part Brittany and part hound dog. We are still debating what kind of hound. Either way, he is the best of two worlds. He likes to lounge on the couch and get snuggles. He loves to go on short walks and sniff the world. And when he feels like it, he trots around the yard. He LOVES the snow! He has never had a potty accident in the house. Joey likes to meet other dogs. He has been living comfortably with two dachshunds and spent time with two Brittanys house guests. He is cat safe but should be properly introduced. Joey loves his toys. He has a few favorites like his plush monkey and his dinosaur. He always tries to carry all of his toys in his mouth at one time. He also likes to talk. He will make soft rumbles to tell you he wants to play or get some attention. He will bark if he’s not happy or if someone is seated in his spot on the sofa. This 63 pound big boy needs a fenced yard and a dedicated human that will love him and spend hours with him each day. He needs to go on daily walks to strengthen his leg. He will never be a jogger or marathon runner. He will be a constant, loving companion, who will shower you with love and fill your heart with joy! Since he’s a big boy, with a big tail, small humans are not recommended. Joey’s past is NOT dictating his future! He is ready for forever! Joey is healthy, UTD on all vaccinations, on heartworm preventative, neutered, and micro chipped. His adoption fee will be $325 to offset his vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more amazing boys like me. If you are interested in lounging, slow walks and wet kisses, then please complete the on-line application at www.NBRAN.org, Adoption Center, Adoption Application. Once the application is complete, you will hear from your local area State Coordinator. This process includes a detailed phone interview, a vet check, and a home visit. Because of Joey’s past medical, transport can be arranged up to 250 miles at no additional charge.

    OK/Buddy

    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Senior
    Location: Curwensville, PA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Hi, my name is Buddy. I am orange and white senior citizen Brittany at 11 years old. I am HW Neg, up-to-date on all my shots and microchipped. I weigh in at about 48.5 pounds. But I am a very special senior citizen, I have a disability. I had to have surgery in my right ear. I was dumped with an ear infection that was extremely bad and I had to have surgery that removed my middle ear. I am deaf on that side but that does not affect my lovability and I can still hear your love that you give me. I have to have 2 different drops in my right eye 2x times a day. This does not affect my life or my health. One positive, you will only have one ear canal to clean. I am a lay-about. I don't really care much about birds. Don't get me wrong, I know what a bird is but have no intention of going after them. I like to lay in the cool dirt. The thing I love to do most is lay in the grass and have the sun on my face and warm me all over. My Foster Mom says I am the best boy she ever had. I never have had cuddling, so not sure what that is yet, but hoping you just might teach me. Now squirrel, that will get me going!!!!! I don't jump up on people. I don't get on the furniture. I have a bunch blankets on the floor that I sleep on and snuggle in. I am not food aggressive. I get along with all my housemates, to include the two cats my Foster Momma has. One of them thinks he's a dog anyway. I am good with kids of all sizes. I am not the best on the leash, but I bet you wouldn’t mind training me. I never had toys, so not sure what they are about yet. If you are interested in adopting me, please visit www.NBRAN.org to complete an adoption application. Contact Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net and/or Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com . for more information after you have filled out the application. The fee to adopt Buddy in OK is $200 to offset his vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful pets. Transportation can be arranged up 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for the last 100 miles. Vet Note: Buddy had a total ear canal ablation in right ear. He will require a semi yearly eye specialist appointments at this time, but once approved it might be able to go to once a year. He has dry eye in his right eye and will need two different drops in his eye 2 x a day. Pred Acetate 15 ml and Tacrolimus XL .1 15 ml. You would need to do 5 minutes in between with the Tacrolimus being the last drop administered.

Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Hey Everyone, My name is Zeus (yes just like the Greek God of Thunder) and I'm a very sweet and loving 9 year old orange & white Brittany guy who is looking for a place to call HOME FOREVER! I am originally a Virginia boy, who was turned into a local shelter when my original owners could no longer care for me, this is where the great folks at NBRAN stepped in to give me a fresh start. I'm currently being fostered in Central PA by a great couple and I love playing with my foster sister, who has taught me so many new things Thanks Maddie. Some of my favorite things include lots and lots of belly rubs, sharing a bone or two with my foster sis, checking out the yard for all kind of critters & perhaps chasing a few on occasion, so a fenced yard will be a must in my new home. I also enjoy going on car rides and long walks but foster Mom says I still needs some work on leash as I like to follow my nose you know. My foster Mom has also taught me how to sit, leave it, down, and we are currently working on shaking paws. I enjoy playing with other dogs and children but cats not so much! I do like the good smelly stuff on counters from time to time but foster Mom is working on this with me too. All of my shots are done, I'm a proper gent neutered of course, heartworm negative, micro chipped, so now the only thing missing is a HOME to call my OWN! Could that be your home? If so, please consider filling out an application online at: http://www.nbran.org/adoptappl.asp. After filing out an application please contact the coordinator for the State in which you live. The contact information for the State Coordinators can be found at the following link: http://www.nbran.org/contacts.asp. Zeus's adoption fee is 200.00, which will help NBRAN cover the vetting costs and other expenses associated with bringing Brits like Zeus back to good health and readying them for adoption. Zeus is a senior boy, so he qualifies for the senior to senior program here at NBRAN, so if you too are a senior please ask about our senior to senior adoptions. Don't live in PA or close by, No Problem! NBRAN has a wonderful transport team who will help bring Zeus to his new family, up to 1200 miles with the adoptive family being responsible for the last 100 miles, at no additional fee. Contact Chris Eddinger for more information at ceddinger@verizon.net Thank you!
