    IA-Roscoe

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Roscoe is approximately 3 years old, fully vetted and ready for his new home. He is a beautiful boy with so much energy and love. He is a people dog. He just loves people. He enjoys being outside on the deck watching for birds and rabbits and going on car rides, but he loves being inside with people and really wants to know where his people are all the time. Roscoe would like a house with a fenced yard so he can run off some energy or someone who can take him on long walks daily for the exercise and companionship. Roscoe came to NBRAN as an owner surrender. Lots of things have been new for Roscoe at his foster house. We do not think that Roscoe had spent much time in a house or with other dogs. He wasn't sure what stairs were, but now he can run up and down them very fast. Roscoe was not sure how to play with other dogs. After a brief adjustment he tolerates his 2 Brittany foster brothers, but seems to prefer to watch them play and not get involved. He does want to be the dominate dog and would prefer to have all of the attention. He does sleep in his kennel at night, but prefers that we don't lock the door. Roscoe's perfect home would be an only dog home with someone that is Brittany experienced, works from home, semi-retired, or retired. Roscoe is going to thrive in a home where he has clear structure, and receives positive reinforcement with future obedience training. Roscoe will need some training as he does not have a lot of manners, but he does seem to be learning quickly. He is learning sit and shake and is very treat motivated. He is an expert at counter surfing. He does like to jump on people and many not be suited for a family with small children. The foster family has a 4 foot fence and Roscoe has never attempted to jump it, but he really likes to dig. If you are looking for a loyal companion to give you lots of attention, then look no further. Roscoe is healthy, UTD on all vaccinations, heart worm negative, (on preventative), neutered, and micro chipped.

    rescue
    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). My name is Albert and I am told I am the sweetest, precious boy ever. I am 8.5 years old, 51 pounds, One handsome orange & white hunk of a boy. UTD on vaccines, HW Neg, neutered, housebroken and crate trained. I am looking for my forever home whom will give me love, attention, walks, rawhides and make me their very special boy. I am on Proin, my only problem is I do leak a little at night, so I do need to sleep in my crate with a “winky wrap”. If you limit my bedtime water and put my “winky wrap” on, this will keep my bed dry. (Some nights better than others.) I am deaf, but I don’t consider that a problem as I respond to hand signals. I do love to get into the Kiddy pool and wade in it. I love my ears rubbed, so I will moan and groan for you. Even thou I am deaf, when my siblings howl due to a fire truck, I look at them and join in, my Foster Mom thinks I am just adorable. If I discover I am outside alone, I will let you know I want to be in the house with you. If you would love a precious boy like me, please put in an adoption application in for me, my Foster Mom would love to tell you my stories. From Foster Mom: Albert doesn’t like to get in the car, but once he is in the car, he loves it. Walks well on leash, does not pull badly. Does his business outside, except for leaking at night. Responds well to hand signals nicely. Loves people & other dogs. Good with cats. Lives for affection. Not picky about food & takes pills easily. Doesn’t guard food, treats or people. Not a barker. Very sweet, adorable boy. Medical Notes: I do have some grand mal seizures and I am deaf, but know hand signals. My last seizure was June 11th and 6 weeks before that. I am not on medicine, because they are too far apart and would not be good for me. Please discuss with Foster Mom as I want you to love me forever. On Proin to help with leakage. If you are interested in adopting me, please visit www.NBRAN.org to complete an adoption application. Contact Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net and/or Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com . for more information after you have filled out the application. The fee to adopt Albert in Texas is $200 to offset his vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful pets. Transportation can be arranged up 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for the last 100 miles.

    TX/Stoli

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Stoli is an orange and white 8 year old male Brittany. He weighs approximately 40 lb. He has all up-to-date shots, HW neg and takes heartworm and flea prevention medications. He has been neutered and also has a chip. Stoli is currently being fostered and is looking for a permanent home. He is a very well dispositioned dog that bonds easily with humans. He is great with children and other dogs. He sleeps through the night and is house-broken. He lets you know when he needs to go out. He likes to eat but doesn’t hang around looking for scraps from the dining table. He answers to basic commands such as “sit”, “shake” “stay” “heel” and “roll over”. He does great on the leash and LOVES to ride in the car! Although Stoli is middle aged, he has the pep and energy of a much younger dog. He loves to chase birds, squirrels, chipmunks, geckos and other small critters. Stoli likes to explore his surroundings and needs room to roam. He likes to find ways to get out so he would benefit from a well enclosed larger yard with a good sturdy fence. He will look for a way to dig out if left unattended! He is a dog that cannot be left outside alone. All of this is very typical of their breed since they are used to flushing out birds. He does not take well to being kenneled or confined to a small room. He loves his bed and would like to share yours too! He is a beautiful delightful “people pleaser”! If you are looking for friendly, relatively low maintenance dog, look no further than Stoli! If you are interested in adopting me, please visit www.NBRAN.org to complete an adoption application. Contact Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net and/or Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com . for more information after you have filled out the application. The fee to adopt Stoli in Texas is $200 to offset his vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful pets. Transportation can be arranged up 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for the last 100 miles.

    Jack *Pendin...

    rescue
    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Jack is a 10 year old Brittney Spaniel. He is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. He is house-trained and likes most dogs. He loves water but only on his terms. While he has never been one to retrieve, he does like to play keep-away with a toy, running away from or chasing after whomever has the toy! Jack will sit at his human's feet for hours, just waiting for a chance for activity. He knows what activity you have planned by the clothes you are wearing. He sleeps on a dog pillow and knows when it is bedtime. He responds to two short, quick whistles and will come when called. Jack is curious about cats but tends to chase when they run. He doesn't do well with chickens. Jack would make an EXCELLENT addition to an active family that would take him on their adventures. The adoption fee for Jack is $200 which includes the spay or neuter surgery and vaccinations (rabies and parvo/distemper). We show dogs by appointment or at adoption events. If you would like to meet Jack, please call and leave a message with Lisa (Director of Four Paws Rescue) at (435) 764-3534 or email us at scfourpaws@hotmail.com. Please be patient with us getting back to you as we are all volunteers with full-time jobs! Thank you for your interest! Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Hello, my name is Bandit, I am an orange and white 46-pound one and a half year-old neutered male. HW neg, UTD on vaccines and one fantastic boy. I am on HW Prevention, which is a must!!!! My foster mom told me I am one of the best foster dogs she has ever had. I am very well behaved. I am house broken, I am kennel trained, dog friendly and I would love to have a friend. I love both females or males. I am cat friendly but I get excited when I see one, and that scares the kitty. I do have one kitty friend, but she is old and does not want to play with me. I walk on a leash, and I love my 5-foot fenced yard. I am not a hunter. I don’t like loud noises. I have not yet learned to stay 4 feet from the front door. My foster mom is trying to make me stay, but I can’t help it. If I get out I don’t hear my own name. I run into the street and I don’t pay attention to the dangers I have no clue about. My foster mom was very upset because she could not catch me. I got out and they do not have a fence in the front yard. I just kept running and running. I love water too. I am young and have lots of love to give to my forever home. I love everybody. They have ducks and chickens here and even a horse. I have never seen a horse before. He is on the other side of the fence and not in my yard. My request is, I want a wonderful family to love me, a yard that has a 6-foot fence (not IF), a playmate that would love to play with me, cuddles, cookies and all the spoiling you can give me. If you are interested in adopting me, please visit www.NBRAN.org to complete an adoption application. Contact Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net and/or Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com . for more information after you have filled out the application. The fee to adopt Bandit in Texas is $375 to offset his vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful pets. Transportation can be arranged up 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for the last 100 miles.

    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). This Very Handsome Liver and White boy is looking for his new forever home! I am a good boy. My name is Thomas, but my Mom calls me Tommy. NBRAN saved me, flea and tick ridden and with some small bite wounds, from a shelter. I am a senior boy (8-10 years old) with age related health issues including some lumps and bumps, arthritis, and hip dysplasia. I also have some chronic breathing issues. I was 10 lbs. overweight when rescued, but now I’m a good weight at about 50 lbs. My health issues have improved with weight loss, exercise, medical care, and good food, but a home without stairs is optimal. They say I am very “soft” because I get scared at loud noises or lots of commotion. I try to leave when I am uncomfortable. I get a little scared in new situations, but I adjust quickly. I am a good boy. They say I’m a very sweet, handsome boy. My tail wags a lot. I like people and other dogs, but NO CATS. I love to chew (my teeth are nubs) and need to have appropriate chew toys or I will find something inappropriate to chew. I love to explore the backyard with my foster sister, dig for “critters,” and chase squirrels. I will need a fenced yard at my new home to keep me safe as I chase little critters! Life is good at my foster home and I am a happy boy, but I would love a “forever” home of my own . I am a good boy. My adoption fee is $200.00 which allows NBRAN to help more of these wonderful pets. If you are interested in taking me into your home, please fill out an adoption application at the following link: https://www.nbran.org/adoptappl.asp . Please have your application approved by your state coordinator before contacting Gaye Bricker at BeauBritt2@aol.com to discuss your interest in adopting me. NBRAN has team of awesome volunteers that will help in transporting me up to 1400 miles to my new home! How about it... Am I your guy? I'd love to have have a forever home of my own. I am a good boy!

    NC/Annie

    rescue
    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Welcome Annie, our new senior sweetheart. She came to the National Brittany Rescue and Adoption Network ( NBRAN) as a stray from a rural NC shelter, and she was in need of some tender loving care. Now she is ready for a forever home! Annie is a liver and white Brittany, docked tail, no dew claws, now 38 pounds, estimated to be 10-11 years old, and has had a few litters in her life. She is totally housebroken, gets on well with the other dogs in her foster home, and fell into the daily routine quickly. As her foster mom, I sing and dance with her like all my dogs, and about day 3 or 4 I discovered that she is totally deaf. We now work on hand signals, body language, facial expressions, routine, and that is great. Occasionally a very loud hand clap will get her attention so I can use a hand signal. More good news about Annie is that she is incredibly affectionate. She loves being petted and getting head massages and chin scratches. Annie will nudge you or put a paw in your lap for more. And, she is a snuggler too! She loves her people and will follow you to the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom. Annie also loves going outside in the fenced yard to just look around, sniff the cool mountain air. She requires only moderate exercise and does sleep a lot during the day. She would really like to have a home where there is someone around most of the time, someone to take her on short walks or visits with friends. Annie is healthy now, heartworm negative, up-to-date on all vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $200.00 to offset her vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more dogs for adoption. If you are over 60 years old, then you qualify for the Senior to Senior Program and her adoption fee is $100.00. If you are interested in adopting Annie in North Carolina, go to the NBRAN website and complete an online application. NBRAN can also transport up to 1,400 miles through our Canine Railroad. Email brittsnbits@gmail.com for more information.

    CO/Layla

    rescue
    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Miss Layla is a 2 ½ year old, gorgeous, liver and white female. Layla is a sturdy girl, currently weighing in at 43 pounds. Her coat is silky soft and very shiny. Layla loves everyone she meets – humans and dogs. When Layla arrived at her foster home, she waltzed in like she had lived there all her life. She immediately accepted her foster family as her new pack. She is 2 ½, but acts older in terms of her behavior. She is trustworthy in the house, does NOT counter surf, and tolerated the fireworks just fine. Layla loves to put her paw on you. She will place her left paw on you gently, and ask for affection. When she joins you on the sofa, she is a wonderful cuddler. She is a hugger too! She puts her front legs at your waist and well, gives you a hug. If children are present, she would be loving and affectionate. Because she likes to hug and use her paw, the children must be 10 and over as she could accidentally knock them over. LAYLA LOVES HER TOYS! She loves her starfish toy best and it will accompany her to her forever home. She likes to carry them around and then neatly place them in a pile. She does like balls too and will retrieve. Layla will need lots of TOYS! Layla loves being outdoors so she can chase squirrels up and down the fence line. Her forever home needs a good sized yard with a 6ft fence. If she were an only dog, she would be content as long as her humans play toy games and give her tons of affection. She would also do well with an active playful sibling of similar age and size. If you are looking for a well adjusted cuddle bug, then please apply for Miss Layla. She is healthy, UTD on all vaccinations, heart worm negative, (on preventative), spayed, and micro chipped. Her adoption fee will be $375 to offset her vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members. Layla is eligible for our canine railroad. She can be transported up to 1400 miles from Colorado at no additional charge. Please complete the on-line application by visiting http://www.nbran.org/adoptappl.asp. Once the application has been completed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator. A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.

    CO/Remi

    rescue
    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Remi is a handsome, freckle face, 4 ½ year old orange and white cutie pie. He is a sweet, loyal boy that needs a second chance. Remi has been recovering in foster care for the last 4 months. We have finally turned the corner on his medical situation and he is ready for his forever! Remi came to NBRAN as an owner surrender. He was suffering from a severe antibiotic resistant skin infection, pain, a horrible stomach rash, poor socialization, and lack of training. This sweet soul needed NBRAN so badly. Now he needs his very own forever home that will never allow these struggles again. Remi needs a forever guardian angel. Remi is selective when interacting with dogs because he is insecure. This insecurity stems from lack of socialization and lack of firm but fair training. Good news, a professional trainer is working with Remi to boost his self confidence and to teach Remi how to meet and be with dogs that are new to him. Remi truly needs a home that is patient and has a good understanding of dogs and dog behavior. His perfect home would be an only dog home with someone that is Brittany experienced, works from home, semi retired, or retired. He has done very well with his Border Collie foster brother that is extremely mellow, trustworthy, and non alpha. So, there is hope that with time and patience, Remi can and will have more furry friends. Remi is not "Mr. Social" nor a good candidate for the dog park, he's what you call a "homebody". He is however, very loving to all people and super cuddly. Truly a sweet, sweet soul. This boy is such a goof ball and will make you laugh on a daily basis. Remi’s new home must have a 6 ft fence, no cats, and if there are children, they must be at least 10 years old and dog experienced. He absolutely loves the children at his current foster home. He is gentle and trustworthy with them. Remi is going to thrive in a home where he has freedom from a crate, provided clear structure, and receives positive reinforcement with future obedience training. Now that his physical wounds have healed and he actually feels good, he is learning to play and enjoy life. He has so much love to give and wants to, he just needs a family that will give him a chance to become the awesome boy his foster family knows. His favorite toy is a pepperoni pizza stuffy. His love for this special toy has earned him the nick name Remi Roni, the pizza boy. If you are looking for a loyal, goofy, cuddle buddy, then look no further. Remi is healthy, UTD on all vaccinations, heart worm negative, (on preventative), neutered, and micro chipped. His adoption fee will be $375 to offset his vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members. Please complete the on-line application by visiting http://www.nbran.org/adoptappl.asp. Once the application has been completed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator. A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.
