Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Hey Everyone, My name is Zeus (yes just like the Greek God of Thunder) and I'm a very sweet and loving 9 year old orange & white Brittany guy who is looking for a place to call HOME FOREVER! I am originally a Virginia boy, who was turned into a local shelter when my original owners could no longer care for me, this is where the great folks at NBRAN stepped in to give me a fresh start. I'm currently being fostered in Central PA by a great couple and I love playing with my foster sister, who has taught me so many new things Thanks Maddie. Some of my favorite things include lots and lots of belly rubs, sharing a bone or two with my foster sis, checking out the yard for all kind of critters & perhaps chasing a few on occasion, so a fenced yard will be a must in my new home. I also enjoy going on car rides and long walks but foster Mom says I still needs some work on leash as I like to follow my nose you know. My foster Mom has also taught me how to sit, leave it, down, and we are currently working on shaking paws. I enjoy playing with other dogs and children but cats not so much! I do like the good smelly stuff on counters from time to time but foster Mom is working on this with me too. All of my shots are done, I'm a proper gent neutered of course, heartworm negative, micro chipped, so now the only thing missing is a HOME to call my OWN! Could that be your home? If so, please consider filling out an application online at: http://www.nbran.org/adoptappl.asp. After filing out an application please contact the coordinator for the State in which you live. The contact information for the State Coordinators can be found at the following link: http://www.nbran.org/contacts.asp. Zeus's adoption fee is 200.00, which will help NBRAN cover the vetting costs and other expenses associated with bringing Brits like Zeus back to good health and readying them for adoption. Zeus is a senior boy, so he qualifies for the senior to senior program here at NBRAN, so if you too are a senior please ask about our senior to senior adoptions. Don't live in PA or close by, No Problem! NBRAN has a wonderful transport team who will help bring Zeus to his new family, up to 1200 miles with the adoptive family being responsible for the last 100 miles, at no additional fee. Contact Chris Eddinger for more information at ceddinger@verizon.net Thank you!

Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Hi, my name is Hunter. I am about 6 years old. I love people and I'm very affectionate. I had two other dogs at home, and I get along great with the dogs in my foster homes. I really enjoy walks and I'm pretty good about not pulling too much on my leash. I really enjoy going out in my yard to run around so I need to have a fenced yard. I have some basic training and my foster mom says I listen pretty well, so I'm sure I can learn even more. I'm used to living in the country so lots of noises are new to me, so when I hear a noise, I do bark a bit. I absolutely love the young boy in my foster home and I sleep with him. If you are interested in Hunter please fill out an application and then contact Dick Wolbers by email at slushlover@msn.com Our team of volunteers can help transport Hunter up to 1400 miles.

    Location: Curwensville, PA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Hello Everyone - allow me to introduce myself - my name is Sterling and I am an AMAZING, HAPPY, 6 year old, purebred, boy! My life has been really good up until recently. Even now it's really good, just a bit confusing.... You see my Daddy passed away, then, my Momma got hurt and could no longer care for me. Even though it was difficult, she did what was best for ME. She surrendered me to NBRAN so they can find a home with the same love, compassion and tenderness she had for me. I miss my first momma, but I’m ready for my next adventure. I have always been an “only child” and spent all my time with my Mom and Dad. When I got to my foster home, I had to go through some big changes. I didn’t know Mom’s and Dads’ go to work, so I got very worried they might not come back. It took me a few days to realize they DO come back AND having my foster brother home with me sure did make the transition easier. Actually I adore my foster brother! We hang out all day together. We lay on the couch, we sleep on the bed, and we watch squirrels through the window. I’m his shadow! I like being a shadow, so I must have a brother or sister at my new home. Foster mom says I'm 100% trustworthy and have never gotten into anything. I’m such an AMAZING boy! Not only do I love playing with my foster brother, but I LOVE TO PLAY WITH TOYS!!! I like to carry toys, I like to chase toys, I like TOYS! I have to have a TOY. Toys, toys, toys! When I have my toys I get excited! So excited I make this loud sound. Foster mom says it’s a growl. Don’t worry though, it’s just me playing. I get super excited when Foster Mom sits or plays on the floor with me. Sometimes I get a little too excited and I have been known to mount. I need an experienced leader who makes sure I play correctly. I will do best sharing my TOYS with furry siblings only. Now, let’s talk sleeping arrangements....If you're in bed, I want to be in bed right next to you, that’s just how it is, and I won't take no for an answer! Did you say snuggle? Oh yeah, I love that too! Wanna know what else I love? Nice, easy walks exploring the neighborhood. I’m actually really good in a harness. I walk like a dream! Did you see my pretty point? I have a very high prey drive, so a home with a 6ft fence and no small animals or cats is required. I am healthy, UTD on all vaccinations, heart worm negative, on heartworm preventative, neutered, and micro chipped. My adoption fee will be $350 to offset my vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more amazing boys like me. If you are interested in snuggling, walking, playing, and sleeping together then please complete the on-line application at www.NBRAN.org, Adoption Center, Adoption Application. Once the application is complete, you will hear from your local area State Coordinator. This process includes a detailed phone interview, a vet check, and a home visit. Transport can be arranged up to 1200 miles at no additional charge.

Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Meet Miss (lucky) Penny. She’s so sweet you can’t help but fall in love with her. Penny doesn’t know she’s thirteen. She thinks she’s still a young dog. She loves to play with her foster sister, and looks forward to walks and car rides. Don't let this petite 27 pound girl fool you. She has an adventurous spirit so she will escape if she is not watched carefully. Penny will need the security of a fenced yard to run around in. She is friendly to other dogs and absolutely loves people. Penny has a great appetite and doesn’t notice that she is missing teeth and that the ones there are not that great. A bully stick is Penny’s favorite thing to chew; however, she gets excited about any snack that might come her way. Because Penny is slightly under weight, she will need to remain on a high quality, grain free kibble. She makes sure she never misses a meal. Penny’s hearing isn’t quite what it used to be but she doesn’t miss out on anything. She loves being part of a pack, but doesn’t seem to mind when left on her own as long as her soothing puppy music is playing in the background. She would be fine being an only dog if she gets lots of attention and is part of the family. Penny is healthy (passed a senior blood panel), UTD on all vaccinations, heart worm negative, (on preventative), spayed, and micro chipped. Her adoption fee will be $200 to offset her vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members. If you are interested in making Penny a part of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.NBRAN.org, Adoption Center, Adoption Application. Once the application is complete, you will hear from your local area State Coordinator. T his process includes a detailed phone interview, a vet check, and a home visit. Penny is eligible for our wonderful Senior-to-Senior program. If you are a senior, age 60 or over, her adoption fee is $100.

Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Hello my name is Jules! Let me tell you about myself as I am now looking for my forever home. I don't know how I landed in a central Ohio Shelter, but a lady came for me one day this past summer and told me I would start a new life in her home. My prior owner let me get heartworms and apparently didn't want to take care of any other medical conditions. I went to work with my foster mom where I received proper medication, heartworm treatment and spay surgery. Since I had to take it easy for several weeks after my treatment, we took walks which I really liked. I walk with my nose, smelling for critters and especially birds. I am crate trained, play well with both the male and female dogs in my foster home, and have a great energy level for my age. I don't have accidents in the house as long as I get to go outside when I need to. I do not have young children in my home or cats. Since my prey drive is typical of my breed, cats probably wouldn't like me chasing them in a home. I will need fenced yard to keep me safe as I will chase critters outside too. Jules is a petite sized female Brittany at 34 lbs. and is adored by everyone that meets this happy girl. Her exact age is unknown but it is thought that she is about 10 years old. She does not appear to have any permanent damage from her prior heart worm infection or any signs of arthritis. Sweet little Jules does have a condition that will require a commitment from her approved adopter to purchase medication from a veterinarian and administer the medication for the remainder of her life. A novel protein diet is also to be continued as a health benefit. Her foster mom would love to answer any questions about Jules to approved applicants. Jules is up to date on all her vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. If you are interested in taking this sweet little lady into your life, please fill out an adoption application at the following link: https://www.nbran.org/adoptappl.asp. Jules adoption fee is $200.00 which helps to offset her vetting expenses and allows NBRAN to help more of these wonderful pets. After filling out your adoption application you can contact Gaye Bricker at BeauBritt2@aol.com for further information about Jules. NBRAN has a dedicated team of volunteers who can assist in transport up to 1500 miles with her new family driving the last 100 miles of her journey. This sweet gal would be thrilled to find her new forever home she so very much deserves!

Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). I am a good boy. My name is Thomas, but my Mom calls me Tommy. NBRAN saved me, flea and tick ridden and with some small bite wounds, from a shelter. I am a senior boy (8-10 years old) with age related health issues including some lumps and bumps, arthritis, and hip dysplasia. I also have some chronic breathing issues. I was 10 lbs. overweight when rescued, but now I’m a good weight at about 50 lbs. My health issues have improved with weight loss, exercise, medical care, and good food, but a home without stairs is optimal. They say I am very “soft” because I get scared at loud noises or lots of commotion. I try to leave when I am uncomfortable. I get a little scared in new situations, but I adjust quickly. I am a good boy. They say I’m a very sweet, handsome boy. My tail wags a lot. I like people and other dogs, but NO CATS. I love to chew (my teeth are nubs) and need to have appropriate chew toys or I will find something inappropriate to chew. I love to explore the backyard with my foster sister, dig for “critters,” and chase squirrels. I will need a fenced yard at my new home to keep me safe as I chase little critters! Life is good at my foster home and I am a happy boy, but I would love a “forever” home of my own . I am a good boy. My adoption fee is $200.00 which allows NBRAN to help more of these wonderful pets. If you are interested in taking me into your home, please fill out an adoption application at the following link: https://www.nbran.org/adoptappl.asp . After filing out the adoption application you can contact Gaye Bricker a BeauBritt2@aol.com to discuss your interest in adopting me. NBRAN has team of awesome volunteers that will help in transporting me up to 1400 miles to my new home! How about it... Am I your guy? I'd love to have have a forever home of my own. I am a good boy!

    Breed: Brittany

    Age: Senior
    Location: Curwensville, PA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Hi, I'm Cooper! Here is his latest update- Happy Holidays, Everyone!!! Cooper here again... just wanted to pass you an update. Apparently, because I'm such a good boy I'm getting TONS of cool presents for Christmas - and hopefully my forever family! I spent Christmas in Kansas with my Foster Mom's family and their 2 little boys 4 and 6. They loved me and I loved them! My Foster Mom was so happy about that, I even let the little one kiss and hug all the time. Since we last chatted I have made some superduper progress! I now know to only go potty outside, that mom's socks are NOT for chewing, that I shouldn't jump on the door, and I have to be nice to the kitties. I even figured out how to play nice with the girls and they let me in their club! We have a blast! I'm am SO loving snuggling by the fire - I don't like the cold weather! I fell asleep on mom the other day and she says I was snoring! And, the best news of all - the doctor said I can eat whatever I want so long as I take one pill per day. I'm so excited to know I'm gonna have a nice long life with my forever family. Yay!!!! Any questions email Leslie at leslie@leslietrentadesigns.com Thank you Don't you wanna be my friend?! Everybody wants to be my friend! At least that's what I think, so I make sure to greet you with lots of hugs and kisses. Foster mom says I shouldn't, and I'm working on that, but I'm just SO excited to have FRIENDS! I'm not as excited about my foster sisters, the pup or kitty kind, but I tolerate them and sometimes I like to play, too. I just really prefer to be with my human. I LOVE laying on the couch and especially the bed. Wiggling around on my back feels amazing - see, I have a slight injury on my back that makes my nerves really sensitive, so it just feels awesome to roll around for a minute. Sometimes I have a hard time getting up on the bed, especially in the morning...the doctor says that's because I have a little bit of arthritis in my hips. I'm an old guy, what can I say? Besides my back and hips, I do have some slight issues with my kidneys and some allergies, but my foster family takes good care of me so it doesn't bother me much anymore. Mom always makes sure I have lots of water and I get special food from the doctor, and two happy pills every day! (I think Mom is lying...I know one is for my kidneys and the other for my itchies...) The doctor says that with this routine I'm gonna be a healthy boy for a long time - yippee! I'm super happy about that because, for the first time that I can remember, I've been able to start really living life! I get car rides, we go get ice cream together, I get to go on walks in the woods! This one time, I almost pulled mom over...so now we walk around the driveway and stop a lot. I'm really getting the hang of it - the treats sure help! When we're not doing that, I get to hang out in the backyard. It's a shame I can't get out off it - I'd really love to go on an adventure by myself! But for now I'll just stay back there - I have to keep the family safe. I make sure I bark at everything that I even THINK may be bad. When I'm done outside and want to go inside, I just jump up on the door an open it myself...sweet, right? I thought so, but not mom! Now she makes me sit at the door and wait...how boring! Anyhow, once I'm inside I usually just hang out with mom or take a nap on the couch. I wish I could sleep with her too, but she says I have to be in my crate at night. I do NOT like going in that thing, but I know the rules...go to sleep, so that's what I do. I don't mind it at all during the day, though! So long as you come home and let me out and give me lots of love, I'll be a happy guy forever! Thanks for reading, friend! A note from Cooper's foster Mama! Meet Cooper! This sweet charmer is nothing but love! He's a bit of an older gent - around 9 or 10 - but you would never know it! He's a super smart guy - probably too smart sometimes - and he's a bit defiant, so he'll definitely need a strong Alpha to lead him. He will also need a home and fence that is secure - his smarts get him out, but not back in - and he is a bolter with no recall. We are currently working on his house and door manners, which he has made significant progress in (he knows how to open doors with lever handles...)! He gets along fine with dogs and cats though he's VERY curious about cats and may scare them initially. His play style can be somewhat aggressive - with cats and dogs - which lands him in a little bit of trouble sometimes. If he's with another animal he would need to be supervised until they have established their boundaries. He's quite the leash puller but is working really hard (and doing well) on his leash training. However, once he's locked on to something, he's on. Obedience training with Mr. Cooper will be essential. Because of his background, ( he was part of the Indiana 11) Cooper really never learned proper house skills, including potty skills. He's pretty good now, but he does still occasionally mark. He also has a love affair with some pieces of clothing - mostly socks, but sometimes other things like sweaters - that he enjoys shredding, and he's quick as lightning. Mr. Cooper, unfortunately, also seems to have experienced some abuse in his past. He will cower if you raise your hand; however, he responds very well to a stern voice followed by love/positive reinforcement. That's the key to this guy - love, love and more love. And some patience :) If you have those things, he will give you that love back ten-fold. And lots of laughs! Cooper is on a prescription KD diet and one medication per day for his kidneys, which he will require for the rest of his days. He seems to have a slight food or seasonal allergy that causes him to be a little itchy sometimes that cannot be overcome by switching foods. Benadryl really helps to control the itch, so he gets that as needed. He does require a lot of water, which means more potty breaks; though while he's in his crate he's a good boy - no accidents at all. He will require continued vet monitoring of his kidneys for the rest of his life. Overall, Cooper is a GREAT guy! He is so snuggly - I'm pretty sure he would crawl inside of you to get closer if he could. He is a little challenging at times, but that's part of what makes him so special. Even in correcting his behavior, all he needs is love - how sweet is that?! Cooper’s adoption is being handled through National Brittany Rescue and Adoption Network. The adoption fee is $200.00. Please go to nbran.org and fill out the adoption application. The Coordinator for Virginia is Leslie Trenta and she will be handling all inquiries and applications for Cooper. Leslie can be reached @ leslie@leslietrentadesigns.com If you are interested in Cooper, please go to nbran.org and complete an online application. The Coordinator in your state will contact you to explain the process. NBRAN will require a home visit and vet check. Cooper can use NBRAN's weekend team of volunteers called the Canine Railroad to get to his new home up to 1200 miles

Posted Breed: Brittany. Duke is a 9 yr old Brittany Spaniel. He is in excellent condition; in fact he is now too energetic for his present human who can no longer hunt. He has nice manners and will be a terrific companion as well as exercise buddy. Ritzy Rescue and Posh Puppy are programs created by CVRR to feature Purebred and Designer dogs. Many of our purebreds are rescued from local puppy mills; some are surrendered by owners who can no longer care for them. Designer dogs (blended breeds of highly desirable breeds) are sometimes found in local kill shelters, surrendered to us by backyard breeders and occasionally just dumped off near our foster homes. All of our Ritzy and Posh dogs are in need of loving, nurturing homes. Many of them come to us with a serious lack of socialization, malnourished, unvaccinated and desperately in need of grooming and dental care. We place them in foster homes, attend to their physical and emotional needs and begin the process of finding suitable forever homes. If you are interested in providing a loving home for a Ritzy Rescue or Posh Puppy you must complete an online application at www.cvrr.us We are only able to respond to interested parties who have completed applications online. Thank you. Many of our dogs can be seen at Petsmart in Visalia on Saturdays between 10 and 3.

    PA/Remington...

    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Male Male

    Location: Curwensville, PA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Howdy All, my name is Remington, and I am no stranger to the NBRAN family, as I have been a part of the family since 2014 when they first found me advertised for free on Craigslist, but due to no fault of my own I am once again looking for a place to call my own FOREVER. I found my way back to NBRAN just recently because my adoptive "daddy" became ill and was placed in a long-term care facility and couldn't take me with him. I truly have enjoyed the last 2 years with my adoptive "daddy" and miss him every day but know my next family will love me just as much as he did. I am a sweet senior guy who has seen and done a lot in my 9 years, being originally a Michigan boy where my first owners gave me away to a guy that didn't have a fence and never had me properly vetted. Well as you can imagine that didn't work out so well, as I ended up in "doggy jail" a few times. My last trip promised to be the final one when a family came and picked me up. Unfortunately, that was not the case, as I already mentioned instead they placed a "free" dog ad on Craigslist instead. Lucky for me, the NBRAN folks in Michigan saw the ad and stepped in to help. I was completely vetted and readied for adoption, which was soon found in Virginia. From there my adoptive dad and I moved to Tennessee to be closer to family who could help care for him, however, sad to say that didn't turn out as everyone had hoped, so here I am 2 years later back with my NBRAN family looking a new forever home. Maybe all that early traveling is why I love riding in cars, no matter the length of the journey. 15 hours from Tennessee to Pennsylvania? Bring it on; no problem for me. My current foster home here in Central PA is awesome. I have a couple of foster brothers who I love to hang out with and we get to go on long walks, but best of all is the Tricks for Treats games we play. My foster Mom & Dad call me an equal opportunity lover, whatever that means. I do enjoy being close or near my people and will come back when called upon unless there is perhaps a critter that needs to be checked out first, so a fenced yard is going to be needed in my new home. I'm still working on walking nicely on a leash, but that's hard for me. I was quite the chunky monkey when I came into NBRAN this time around, weighing in at 69 pounds but am now down to a slim 55, so exercise will be important along with a furry buddy (but probably not a cat) or two to play with in my new home. Being an older fellow, of course, I have the usual aches and pains but am in good shape overall. My foster folks say I don't have to see that fellow who sticks me with those Ouchy things for awhile, I take care of my business like I'm supposed too, so I'm just ready to find a nice place to live out my years. Is that your place? If so why not consider filling out an adoption application or talking more with the great folks here at NBRAN/PA. If you are interested in filling out an adoption application for me or one of the many other great Brits here at NBRAN you can do so online at: http://www.nbran.org/adoptappl.asp. After filing out an application please contact the coordinator for the State in which you live. The contact information for the State Coordinators can be found at the following link: http://www.nbran.org/contacts.asp. Oh and by the way my adoption fee is 200.00, which will help NBRAN cover the vetting costs and other expenses associated with bringing Brit like me, Remi, back to good health and readying them for adoption. I also qualify for the senior to senior program, so if you are a senior like me ( 60plus) then my fee is only 100.00. Don't live in PA or close by, don't' worry these NBRAN folks are great they have a wonderful transport team who will help bring me, Remi, to your area up to 1200 miles with the adoptive family being responsible for the last 100 miles, at no additional fee. Need more information or have question please email Chris Eddinger for at ceddinger@verizon.net Thank you!
