    Bud

    Breed: German Shepherd Dog
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: Baltimore, MD
Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). Bud is a sweet affectionate boy. He loves people including children. He has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia however as a result of physical therapy ( underwater treadmill) and hikes he is not symptomatic . Many dogs with hip dysplasia do well without surgery and Bud is doing great. After consultation with a Sports Medicine Vet Bud continues to progress with conservative management for his hip dysplasia. He will need consistent walks, hikes, treadmill or swimming to continue building muscle. Bud LOVES to swim and his foster has found a nearby lake where he can swim for exercise ! His foster is working through some anxiety and leash reactivity and he is responding well. If you are not yet approved to adopt from All Shepherd Rescue, please fill out our online application at www.allshepherdrescue.com. Our adoption fee is $300.00.

This cutie couldn't be sweeter to the people around her, but is very timid in new situations, scared of loud noises and fast movement, and will need someone who is patient and can show this beauty how to trust again. Locket loves other big dogs and is most comfortable when they're there to show her it's ok. She has two 'boyfriends' who have helped her and would be happiest in a home with a large male canine pal.The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog. Dancer IS AVAILALBE (updated 05-25-2017).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Dancer, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=21452&name=DancerDancer is a beautiful young girl who has had a rough start. She was born with a medical issue which caused a stricture to restrict her esophagus as she grew. By 8 months she was severely emaciated and her growth was somewhat stunted due to the lack of nutrition growing up. She received surgery to remove the stricture and over the past several months has blossomed. She has gained much need weight and continues to grow and fill out. A recent recheck indicates her esophagus is working well and the are that ballooned out before and after where the stricture has reduced in size. Due to the slight swelling the vet recommends she continues eating in an elevated or upright position and then stay that way for 10 - 15 minutes to allow gravity to help get all the food into her stomach. Dancer has a Bailey Chair and doesn't mind sitting in it to eat so long term this feeding restriction shouldn't be a problem.Dancer is currently in a foster home with both small and large dogs and is social with all of them. She is very friendly with people and bonds easy. She walks nicely in a harness, is housebroken, crated trained and very easy to live with. She would do well in an active home with a family that has time to take care of her special eating requirements She has been doing really well in her foster home and is now ready for a family of her own. If you are interested in adopting Dancer, please fill out an online adoption application. The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog. Clover IS AVAILALBE (updated 05-25-2017).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Clover, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=21609&name=CloverEveryone who meets Clover has remarked on her happy and loving nature. Clover was hit by a car and left on the side of the road. She had a broken femur and was in pretty bad shape, but was so sweet that the shelter reached out to find her a rescue. Once we got her to our vet, we found out her injuries were more severe than originally expected. In addition to the broken leg, she also suffered a spinal injury with significant cord swelling. Had this been treated at the onset, her condition might have been better, but it has caused her to lose the mobility in her hind end. Knowing dogs can recover from these types of injuries, we elected to give her time to heal rather than euthanize her. Her femur fracture was repaired and has healed. While Clover still cannot walk, she seems to slowly be making progress. She has regained movement in her legs, has recently started moving her tail, and can even stand for short periods of time. Recovery from a spinal injury does not occur overnight and we want to give Clover a chance. We know she would benefit from intense physical therapy to teach her muscles how to work again. We have found California Animal Rehabilitation, a rehab facility in Los Angeles that can give Clover this level of rehab and Care. Unfortunately, even with a substantial discount it is still very costly for the extensive rehab that Clover requires.Over the past few months of therapy at C.A.R.E., Clover has made slow, but steady progress. She enjoys all her physical therapy and treatments and works very hard. Even in her condition, she is still very enthusiastic and makes the most of her life. She loves attention and will be as active as she is allowed to be. She loves to play with toys, chew on antlers or kongs and loves to tool around in her wheels. Even if she doesn't regain full use of her hind legs, she still has a good quality of life and is not hard to manage. The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog. Adopting A Shelter Dog These dogs come without background histories/ past medical information. We present these dogs as we have observed in relationship to age, size, breed, behavior, housebreaking, crate training, good with children, cats, dogs, and strangers. Dogs may present themselves differently in different environments, therefore The Dog Spot Rescue, their agents, volunteers, can not guarantee behavior, age, size expectations, breed, house Training, destructive behavior tendencies, and/or medical issues. All dogs from shelters have been subjected to pathogens from the shelter level which can materialize into disease in the future. Each adopter must observe for themselves pre-adoption and make decisions for themselves the suitability of said dog and their tolerance levels for transitional time when adopting a shelter dog. We ask that each adopter take their time when making the choice to bring home a rescued dog. Meet Titan,a large German Shepherd male who is about 7 years old. He is about 85 pounds, gentle, sweet nautered and LOVES people. Excellent with other dogs, children, and loves long walks on the trail or around the neighborhood. Housebroken, well behaved. Found at a shelter rescue list, he needed help and TDS came to the rescue. Now in our program, we know that he will not be completely happy until he has a family or a person of his own. Adoption is $375 and includes his neuter, rabies, worming, shots, heartworm test, bordatella vaccine and microchip. All dogs are met by appointment in ELK Grove, ca Your Adoption Fee covers the following expenses: Spay/Neuter, DHLPP, Bordatella, Rabies (if age appropriate), De-worming and Frontline/Advantage Please Note: Shelter/rescue dogs have been exposed to many pathogens such as kennel cough, parasites, diseases and conditions some of which may not have been discovered prior to adoption. Any dog that shows symptoms here at TDS are routinely identified, taken for tests and treatment. Our vet bills can exceed $10,000 a month. However, without symptoms, we may miss a disease, or pre-existing condition or parasite. Consider carefully if you have the tolerance for these possibilities. We consider, you, the adopters, the last leg of the rescue process.

    Breed: German Shepherd Dog

    Age: Senior
    Location: Park Falls, WI
Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). UPDATE: I have headed to a medical foster home to help me with my care. I am on a special diet of z/d and twice daily medications. I also need to receive weekly b12 injections. With lots of love and care, I've improved and gained 20lbs, but I still have a long way to go to get my system back on track. **I am currently on Medical Hold. I've been having some digestive problems and blood tests show I have pancreatic inflammation, intestinal disease causing malabsorption, and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth. Right now, the nice people here are getting me the treatment I need. Helping get my entire digestive tract online will take several weeks. If all goes well, I hope to be looking for a forever home in late May. My rescue friends have promised that they will update my status when they have more information on my long term care needs. Until we know what it will take to keep me feeling better, adoption applications aren't able to be processed. Thank you for your patience while my people try to help me get healthy. ** This distinguished gentleman is Duke, and we can't say enough wonderful things about him! This 8 year old heartthrob, is goofy, affectionate and happy to meet pretty much everyone. Duke loves to meet new people of all genders, ages and energy levels, but he truly seems to be a lady's man at heart. He loves other dogs and is very outgoing, but even his most gentle play mode might be too much for little dogs. We've introduced Duke to a few cats, and he thinks they smell funny , but otherwise hasn't shown too much interest in them. Duke would flourish in a home that has time to go for long walks and play games. He loves spending time bouncing around with his people. Duke will also need a family that can show him patience as he learns about house life. He's learning about toilet flushes, car rides, and different types of flooring, but he spent 7 years on a chain and has a lot of catching up to do. He will also need help with potty training, but so far he's catching on very quickly. Duke is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and HW negative. He's been working on gaining weight ever since his arrival and still has a few pounds to gain, but he will happily gain that weight with his forever family and is officially cleared for adoption! For adoption applications, please visit our website www.catkinsrescue.org or email us at Catkins_wi@yahoo.com for more information.
