    Bungee

    rescue
    Breed: Labbe
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Beagle / Mixed. Bungee is a sweet and playful girl that has been adjusting perfectly to life in a home after spending time at the shelter. While she is believed to be around 5-6 years of age, she certainly has the energy and spirit of a younger pup. We think she might be a black lab/beagle mix? She's a great size at just 35 pounds! She earned her name because when you open up the crate she'll go sprinting by in excitement but then come running straight back to you to say hello. If you are looking for a pup that loves to play with other dogs or go for long walks then snuggle up on the couch to watch TV, Bungee is the girl for you! She has loved every dog she has met so far big and small and seems to get along with all humans too (she is learning not to jump for attention). She does perfect in a crate and appears to be potty trained so she is ready to drop into her forever home! If you think that could be with you then apply to adopt at hopeanimals.org today. She is heartworm positive but eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program while she completes treatment. Hope pays for all care and treatment while she goes through treatment, she just gets to hang out with her new family while she does. Ask us how! Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescued pet! Our adoption fees are as follows: Puppies and Dogs (up through 7 years old) – $250 Dogs (8 years of age or older) – $100 Kittens and Cats (up through 7 years old) – $100 Cats (8 years of age or older) – $50 Adoption Application: http://www.hopeanimals.org/#!adoption-application/c1trs

    Elena August...

    rescue
    Breed: Labbe
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Baby
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Beagle / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $550. Age: 5 Months (as of 8/17/2017) Weight: 20.4 lbs (as of 8/17/2017 This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Meet sweet, shy, beautiful Elena from the August litter. Elena and her 3 litter-mates appear to be Beagle/Lab mix that was born around 3/14/2017. They have been in a shelter since being turned into rescue and have not experienced any "home" life. Elena is shy but not as shy as her sister Piper. Elena warms up quickly with everyone, male or female. We think she will flourish once she is out of the shelter life. Elena is good with other dogs, but we don't know how she feels about cats or kids. Elena's new family will need a lot of patience, consistency and willing to work with a trainer so she will gain confidence and be more at ease around strangers. A quieter household without a lot of different people coming and going will be best. She will need to be house/crate/leash trained. Being in a shelter it's hard to say for sure what her energy level is, but a fenced in yard is always a plus. No fault of her own, this sweet little girl missed out on a lot of loving. If you have the room in your heart and home for Elena, please fill out an application and let's show Elena how wonderful life can be! Adoption Fee: $550 To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website: www.sosarl.org/aa/ **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.

    Jinx

    rescue
    Breed: Labbe
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Beagle / Labrador Retriever / Mixed. My name: Jinx My age & breed/mix: Almost 4/beagle and lab mix I know these commands very well: Sit, no and down Leash-walking skills: I pull very little. Extra info about me: I have a bit of anxiety from my past and being in a new home. I'm also working to lose a few pounds. My foster humans take me for daily walks to help! I'm also great at coming when I am called. I really love: being close to people, especially sleeping under beds at night, children and giving them kisses, going for long walks and playing and cuddling with stuffed animals. ========================= About Our Rescue Group: The St. Mary's Animal Welfare League is a nonprofit, rescue organization that specializes in the rescue, care and placement of abused, neglected and homeless companion animals. Our animals are vaccinated, microchipped, spayed or neutered and receive medical treatment before being placed in carefully selected homes. We strive to educate the community in areas of humane education and responsible pet ownership as well as helping to control the pet overpopulation in our area by promoting the spaying and neutering of all companion animals. ===Come Meet Our Pets: Come meet our cats every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. located at Petco in California Maryland. We also have a cat facility in Callaway. The Cat Castle Rescue Center is located in the Callaway Village Shopping Center and is open every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 3pm. Please contact info@smawl.org for appointments to meet our dogs. ===Our Adoption Process: It is the St. Mary’s Animal Welfare League’s policy to attempt to place each of our rescued animals in a home that is well- suited to their needs. Once an animal is placed from our rescue, the animal cannot be sold, given away or otherwise transferred. If the adopter is, at any time, unable to keep or continue to maintain the animal for any reason, the animal must be returned to the St. Mary’s Animal Welfare League. We work hard at matching our animals to adopters, so they may end their search for a loving, permanent home. Temperament, special needs and personality are all factors in our placements. ===Step #1 The Adoption Application The initial step in our adoption process is the Adoption Application. This can either be done online or in person. The Adoption form must be filled out completely including vet references and two personal non-family references. Your application will be reviewed and your references will be contacted. We contact your veterinarian to ensure that your current or recently deceased pets were properly taken care of---this means being current on all vaccinations and spayed or neutered. In order to speed up the process, please contact your veterinarian and let them know to expect our call. ===Step #2 Personal Interview You will be interviewed by a SMAWL Board Member or Volunteer either through phone, email or in person. This is an opportunity to learn more specifics about you, your family, your pets and the type of pet you are looking for. At this time, we may suggest that you consider a different animal---one that we may feel might be more acceptable for your situation. If you are completing your application in person, this will most likely be done at that time of completion. ===Step #3 The Home Visit If all goes well with the application verification, we will schedule a home visit. A home visit is required to ensure that your home is everything you say it is on the Adoption Application. It needs to be a suitable safe environment for your new pet. All pets and family members should be home at this time. ===Step #4 Meeting Your Potential Adoptee Once the Application has been reviewed and all references checked, arrangements will be made for you to meet with the animal you wish to adopt, either through the foster parent or the animal’s Case Manager. As a courtesy to our foster families, we do not ask them to show their animals to individuals until we have completed the application approval process. If you have other animals, we recommend a neutral meeting place, such as PETCO or a local park to ensure the animals are compatible outside of their own territory. ===Step #5 Finalizing The Adoption Once the adoption has been approved, we will contact you to finalize the adoption. You will need to sign the contract and pay our adoption fee. (Young Dogs Under 1 =$300, Dogs over 1 = $250, Young Cats 2 years and under =$125, Older Cats over 2 years = $75) Foster to adopt over a two week period may be available on a case by case basis. Any applications received for adoptions from beyond St Mary's county line, will be subject to additional terms and conditions available on request. Please Remember: Our entire organization is staffed by volunteers. We have NO paid staff. Our volunteers must work your application around their business and personal lives. We do our best to respond to all inquiries within 2-3 days, and most of the time we are able to respond within 1 day. Please be patient and thank the volunteers you meet for their service to our community’s homeless pet population. === We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties: We serve the Southern Maryland area.

    Powder Puff ...

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Labbe
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Baby
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Beagle / Mixed (short coat). Our first step is an application which can be filled out at https://www.cvrrescue.org The "Powder Puff Litter" is super outgoing and social! They have been handled since birth and it shows! We think dad was a lab, and mom we know is a beagle shepherd mix. They are in a foster home learning some basic house manners while they wait on their forever families. Like all puppies, adopters can expect any puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal energetic puppy issues (jumping, mouthing, general youthful naughtiness). Because this is a guess of breed mixture, we can not guarantee a pets weight and should not apply for a puppy if your place has weight restrictions or you are looking for an ideal weight (you can always check out the adult dogs whose weight we do know). This dogs adoption fee is $225 which covers the following: spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing, dhp/p, rabies, bordatella (agre appropriate vaccines), deworming, and all the care he received while with CVRR. All animals are on flea and tick and parasite prevention for the duration in fostercare. We are an volunteer group, who process the applications so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone and email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process . We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible. When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the dog picks you too. If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee and an adoption contract to be signed. The adoption fees help cover a portion of the care provided to the animals. All dogs and pups are microchipped and all animals adopted out are spayed/neutered and fully vetted. **All of our animals have a lifetime commitment. If for any reason, the adoption does not work out, the cats and dogs are to come back to CVRR, which is a NO kill rescue.*** The foster family and the rescue volunteers will choose the new home based on the best fit for the dog/cat. Our first step is an application which can be filled out atwww.cvrrescue.org
