    Sandy

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Mutt
    Sex: Female Female
    Location: phoenix, AZ
Posted Breed: Terrier / Mixed. I’m Sandy, a 2 year old female Border Terrier mix. I am low shed and weigh about 11 lbs full grown. My owners were moving and could not bring me along. I have a small Eyelid Protrusion or Cherry eye that doesn't seem to disturb or irritate me. Cherry Eye can resolve on it's own or be cosmetically removed. The good news is it is not effecting my vision and does not seem painful. I’ve lived outside most of the day but was able to come inside so sleep in my kennel. I behave well in my kennel. In my new home I hope that I can come inside and spend more time with my family. I’m very sweet and friendly. I get along with everyone I meet; I have even lived with young rambunctious children. I get along great with other dogs. I like to run and wrestle. I also love to share my tennis balls with other fur friends. Since I mostly lived outside I will need some training in the potty training department. I’m playful but also very quiet. I listen and well and learn fast. I’m great on a leash and ride well in a car. --- Adoption fee is $260. This dog is altered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, licensed, and vet checked. The adoption comes with 30 days of free pet insurance and a free vet visit. To do a meet and greet, come to the rescue location at 1102 W Hatcher Road in Phoenix AZ 85021, open Tues-Sun 11 am to 6 pm. Gandalf

    rescue
    Breed: Mutt
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Senior
    Location: phoenix, AZ
Posted Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Keeshond (medium coat). Gandalf is an 8.5 year old Autralian Kelpie mix. He was rescued from the County shelter. Despite his age, Gandalf is an active spunky guy. He is very friendly and outgoing. He loves to run and go on walks. He loves playing fetch. He would be perfect for an active family wanting to rescue a senior dog. He needs to go to an Adult Only home. He is great with other dogs both big and small. He cannot go to a home with cats or children. Gandalf is kennel trained, leash trained and knows how to use the doggy door, but since he was rescued from County we are unsure if he is house broken. He is a happy guy looking for a forever home. His adoption fee is $80. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, licensed, comes with 30 days of free pet insurance, and comes with a free vet visit. Goldie

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Mutt
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: phoenix, AZ
Posted Breed: Shepherd / Mixed (short coat). Goldie is a 3 year old Shepherd mix looking for a special forever home. She weighs 32 lbs fully grown. Not too big and not too little..perfect size! Goldie came to us from another rescue who originally rescued her from the county shelter with puppies. She came to us after the rescue had their dogs living outside in the summer. We aren't sure of Goldie's history, but it obviously wasn’t that great. Based on her untrustworthy behavior we wouldn’t want to talk about if we knew. Goldie has been in a foster home since she came to us, where we slowly learned about this sweet but submissive girl. Goldie is a very shy, submissive, but loving girl. Goldie's untrustworthy behavior breaks our hearts. She is eager and will follow you around the house but prefers to be invisible. She will find a comfy spot near you just so she’s not alone. Goldie needs a patient family that will give her the time she needs to come around. Unfortunately, we don't think she will ever be the normal dog that comes running up on the couch next to you, or give you a big wet sloppy kiss when you least expect it. However, Goldie is very sweet once she knows you, yet keeps a little distance. She is not aggressive in any way. She is excellent with other dogs of any size, fully house broken with or without a dog door, and is so forgiving. Goldie loves food and loves other dogs.. this is the key to getting her socialized with new people :) She is even good with cats! Goldie's perfect home would be with a family (no young kids) that is really wanting to RESCUE a dog. A home with another dog or dog(s) that would like her and play with her and snuggle with her. A home with a dog door and a secure yard. A home with patient hands and love and treats! She travels in the car in a kennel (very nervous!), and is not leash trained, she prefers to stay home :P This special girl deserves a special home! Goldie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, chipped, licensed, vet checked, comes with 30 days of free pet insurance, and comes with a free vet visit. Her adoption fee is $180. To meet her, contact her foster mom Alicia at FosterVarrone@gmail.com. For any questions, feel free to give us a call 602-944-2440 Open Tues-Sun 11am to 6pm / 1102 W. Zinga

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Mutt
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: Phoenix, AZ
Posted Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (short coat). Zinga was found when she was just a tiny puppy. Some homeless guys in a park were using her as a football. Thank goodness she was saved. She is 5 years old now and tiny weighing in at about 50 pounds. Zinga got a wonderful home when she was a puppy that she loved. Unfortunately she got ringworm from the kids in the family and was sent back to the rescue for treatment. While she was back with us getting treated for her ringworm she then showed signs of demodex mange, which all puppies are born with but when their immune system lowers the mites can take over and become a problem. Poor little Zinga had to quarantine by herself because she had a contagious itchy skin disease she couldn’t be with other animals. Then with the demodex at full swing Zinga started scratching and chewing on her skin. She then gave herself a secondary staff infection by doing all the licking and chewing. She was very crafty about getting her e-collar off. Zinga was such a trooper through it all and was always so sweet. Due to her long recovery she didn’t get the socializing she needed to be the amazing dog that she is. She was finally ready to go back to the family who were so thrilled to have her back. By then though, Zinga had become that single dog that doesn’t like to always share or be challenged. She would do great with the other dog at her new home most of the time, but then would become aggressive towards him. She really is a total sweetheart but just doesn’t want to share her family anymore. She is very active and loves going for walks and car rides. She will play with toys in the backyard for hours. She adores children and really needs some in her new family. She just loves hanging out with them because they are always doing something fun. Zinga loves belly rubs and is very submissive. She just wants to please her family. She is kennel trained and also loves to curl up on the bed at night. She is such a wonderful girl and if you think you might be Zinga’ s perfect fit please call Jen #623-210-6578.

Posted Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed. Scout is an amazing dog who is SO well mannered and has a great personality. She is FULLY potty trained, loves playing with toys and balls, NEVER makes a mess or a problem for you, and loves to cuddle! She is a lover of other dogs, kids, and cats especially! She is blind, but that doesn't stop her from doing a thing a dog with sight would do. She listens to your voice very carefully and does as you say.
