Description
Posted Breed: American Foxhound (short coat). Dixie was found dumped on a gentleman's property on a snowy, cold day. He spent weeks looking for her owner, but when he didn't have any luck, she was brought into the shelter. She is around 5-6 years old, underweight at only 47 lbs (up from the 43 lbs she weighed in January when she was brought in), and heartworm positive, but she still has plenty of pep. She loves people and getting and giving attention. She also knows the sit command and takes treats very gently. She is friendly with other dogs, but she should be in a home without cats. Dixie is ready to get "fit" and happy in her new home.
