NG. 10/22: Presley was recently adopted into a home as an only dog. He was returned as it seems he would do much better in a home with an active and playful dog to run around with. A secure fenced in yard would be ideal so the dogs can safely run and play. He loves chew toys, going for car rides, is learning sit, down, stay and leave it. He has a strong prey drive, so would likely not do well in a home with cats. Presley is a very friendly and outgoing 1 year-old Great Pyrenees mix male who is just a big overgrown puppy. He weighed about 72 pounds when he arrived at Canine Lifeline but LOVES to eat so has likely gained a few pounds since his arrival. He will likely weigh 80+ once he’s reached his ideal weight. We don’t have any history on Presley’s life before he ended up at an overcrowded rural county dog shelter but this is one happy dog who’s eager to make a fresh start with a new family. Presley loves playing with other dogs but can come on a little strong for some mild-mannered canines. Active young dogs that like to play rough are Presley’s best pals. He’s very food-motivated and will sit for a treat. He would do well in an obedience class with his new family so he can work on his canine good citizen skills and harness all of that puppy energy in a positive direction. With a little time and effort, this sweet boy is going to make a great companion for years to come. His adoption fee is $200. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age.
