pril or May 2019 and is a black lab mix with a little white on her chest and the tips of her toes. Her mom was dumped on a farm to have her pups and she has had little interaction with humans until she got to the rescue which is why she is so scared. In the time with her foster she has been learning potty training, taking food and treats, playing with her doggy foster siblings, and leaving the cats alone. She needs someone with a lot of patience and love to continue showing her humans can be good. She has progressed really well in her foster home and is potty trained as long as you stick to a schedule (she may regress in a new home but will learn in no time). She LOVES playing with other dogs so we ask that her new home already have a doggy companion. She also will need a fenced in yard to keep her safe in case she gets scared outside. She is a very mellow pup that will snuggle in the couch after playing a bit outside with the dogs. She just needs to see that her new family will love and not hurt her. Once she learns that, she will be your most loyal companion. Until then she may search for a safe place to hide and watch the things going on around the house. Since she's young we think she has a shot at a full recovery to be a normal dog! Can you provide a home for this sweet girl? To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $250 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs. We do not ship dogs. All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranaged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try email first. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet

  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life.
